POLL: $2500 PowerShare store credit or voucher? Which is true?

I was just in the Dallas store. The sales manager looked me dead in the face and told me store credits being added to cybertruck purchaser’s Tesla accounts were not true. Tesla is only issuing one time use vouchers.

He even claimed that when he went to the back, he was calling the energy team to confirm, and they confirmed they are only issuing 1 time use vouchers.

Those who have received an account credit over a voucher can you please post the sanitized emails or screen shots so I can prove to him that he is mistaken.

Me personally I received a 1 time use voucher….this all came about after I confronted him about how unfair the change to the Tesla shop credits was to us folks who took delivery few months ago and are stuck with the voucher.

It's a one time use $2,500 voucher with a code that you use when you check out. Tesla sends it to you via email a month or two after you take delivery.

Not sure if they are still doing that though.

If you use it to buy a T-Shirt for $40 and thats all in your cart you are out $2,460. You lose the rest. You need to use it all in the same checkout. Many people on here didn't realize it and lost out big.

I got my CT on May 5th, I was originally going with the install route but after much frustration of them trying to figure out my power usage I decided to just take the $2500 and move on. It then took another 2 months and many emails to get my "credit".

I received it yesterday, it's a 1 time code usage.

Ok I have some similarities to you with my experience. I am in DFW. I took delivery in March. I too was assigned a project manager for PowerShare but after frustration I opted for the $2500 and was sent the voucher on 7/17.

I wonder if you enter in any formal discussion about PowerShare and change your mind you are just sent the voucher.

It seems like shop credits come from your sales/delivery team and the voucher comes from the energy team. (pure speculation on my part)

When I emailed the shop support team about trying to convert the voucher I received the response below. That phone number got my nowhere lol

Yeah trying any phone # is almost useless with Tesla (least the 5 years and 3 cars experience for me xD). You'd think buying nearly $300k in cars from someone would get at least some functional # ?

Im just going to hold on to it and see if the extended battery ever comes out. It's literally the only thing missing from this truck besides fsd. The ability to easily go on ski trips.... Took it from dfw to Austin the other week and it was a breeze. But cold weather longer trips, definitely need that longer range.

I got my Cybertruck about 10 days ago. It came with $2500 in credits in the App wallet. They are not one time use, but the total has to be used within a year of receipt of the truck. So I have purchased lots of overpriced items in the store, and it keeps a running balance. Would love to see an outdoor cover for the CT pop up. Of course I still don't have the new software version! :-(

What is even crazier is the Tesla PowerShare website only talks about the voucher for a 1 time use but that’s obviously not what they are doing right now. It keeps us voucher folks at bay not allowing us to point to official text or clauses on their website about the change. So shady!

So I got the delivery of the AWD foundation Series Cybertruck on 8/31/2024 in Orlando FL, and got the same email that was posted above. I have $2500 credit and ordered about 850 dollars worth of accessories. I just checked and the balance left is still 1650ish so it is not a one time use.
