You bought a Cybertruck and went with the ___ model, Do you wish you had gone the other direction?

You are fighting AWD vs CB which in the scheme of a value proposition puts you at a 20k delta. Although I have the Beast,I have driven an AWD and the line drive you mention (front motor vs rear motor) is seamless on the road. Other folks I have met would have gone with the Beast but wanted an early allocation. If you can swing it go with the Beast.

I originally ordered the Tri Motor cyberbeast back in 2019, and was invited to do the Foundation Series (as everyone else has been).
I up until now had decided to pass.
After recent frustrations with my Lightning I've decided to sell it. (carvana picks it up tomorrow)

My plan (and i've already placed the order) was to get the Cyberbeast as originally planned. I will be making a down payment of about $105,000.00 so financing will just be for that last little bit.

I had done my research, and I chose to go with the beast Foundation because I felt the value per dollar was more worth it because of the $4,000 Powershare install credit. (Which I now know it no longer includes..) and the Lightbar. (But a lightbar isnt worth 20k... lol)

So discouraged, but still pretty decided i was going with the beast...
I watched Kyle Connor's 2 hour 15k Mile review on his Cyberbeast. He made multiple mentions that hed suggest getting the AWD instead.
He pointed out that the AWD is mainly RWD with front motor assist, Where the beast is mainly FWD with rear motors assist. I completely understand this, I am a huge fan of RWD cars over FWD.
Another Benefit over AWD is I could pay cash for it, and have no loan.. Which is a pretty big plus for me.

Now im second guessing... So I wanted to ask:

TLDR: If you bought the AWD, Do you regret it and wish you had gone Cyberbeast?
OR: If you bought the Cyberbeast, do you regret it and wish you had one AWD?
For the love of god get the beast, unless you aren’t a “car person” so to speak. For the extra 20k the performance upgrade is staggering and the dash is beautiful. It comes with credit of $2,500 for PowerShare and $580 for universal wall connector. Love mine, best vehicle I’ve ever owned. No desire to get back in my Escalade or slow 526hp Shelby GT350.

I got the AWD because it was cheaper and I would get it sooner.
Now I wish I had the Beast.
Any Beasts want to trade down to a AWD?

with my down payment id be looking at ~$300/month where if i had financed it all, it would be about $2,000/month.
Plus i've found that with a big down payment i usually get a better interest rate than with minimum down.

So what am i not understanding how thats better?
You would be a few years ahead in your payment, my guy, lol! At that point the amount per month is virtually irrelevant.

You would pay the loan off very quickly too in this case instead of stretching out the timeline of the liability.

To answer your question: I have the AWD FS. It was about the available $$. My wife and I are debt free. What I could afford was the AWD and I have cash left to get some aftermarket items and a wrap.

When I see a beast, I’m impressed, and glad for the owner but not envious. They may be in another stage of life with a little more $$.
I could have financed the remainder but it was not really a hard choice to stay debt free. I don’t lose any sleep because someone has a beast and I don’t. I still have my dream truck.

In the end, both options offer satisfaction. With AWD, you'll have peace of mind knowing you won't have to worry about monthly payments. The Beast, on the other hand, gives you the confidence of outrunning any ICE car if you choose to—though you likely won’t for a few other reasons.

I have an AWD and love it. No regrets. It wasn’t about the wait or the money; I just didn’t need more power but did want more range.

I made my CT reservation late. I was about 1.2 million in line. Thought it would be years before I could get one. I was so thrilled when I got the invite to order a Foundation Series in August. Don't mind paying the foundation series premium since it gave me a chance to jump the line.

I took possession of my CYBERBEAST in late August. In my opinion, it is the best vehicle ever made. I think once you experience the Lauch Mode of the Beast in person, you would never be happy driving the All-Wheel Drive version.

No question about it, get the beast! I got it and truthfully the first thing when I see another cybertruck is too look at the back if it’s a beast, if it’s not, I smile knowing mine is better. I rarely have seen another beast in my area , but seen plenty of AWD.

Reserved the Tri, ordered and received the beast...I never wavered in what I wanted - beast or bust! For me the $20k delta for the 3 motor was a no brainer (I did receive / use the $4k install credit). I paid 50% cash and financed the other 50% (and paid it off in 3 months) - had the cash, but for some reason don't like to pay all at 1 time.

I think it comes down too what you want - the truck is the same for the most part, few differences and if they're important to you then there's your answer! I wanted the performance, something = or faster than my M3P and $20k isn't hurting the finances.

If you have a competitive spirit in ANY WAY go with the beast. If you don't you'll regret it every time there is a "tough guy" in his big, tough truck next to you at the light just begging you to humble him. Of course I got a speeding ticket a week after taking ownership of my beast, so there's that...
Or, perhaps I just need to grow up.
