That sucks, but it's Tesla and I guess it really was "Limited"

That's not how that works.

You can't just display one thing and have something else on the invoice. While mistakes happen, it's fraud if you don't attempt to make it right.

As long as they allow the cancellation of the order there is no issue. Its like online mistake retail deals such as severely mispriced ipads, tvs, air fare, etc Most of those end up being canceled by the vendor before being fulfilled.

We all new that the premium Lifetime connectivity was part of the Foundation series. BUT order shows it’s included. They shouldn’t back step on your order if it was on your order page when you placed your order. Keep pressing them about it!!!!

That's probably true, but it's still not okay vs the listed options.

Could be an honest mistake by Tesla.. I always understood it to be only with FoundationSeries do you get premium connectivity for life.
premium connectivity without free Spotify in 49 days...as my beast told me today as it told me I have 49 days to sign up for live One or something (so paid $35 for the year), no biggie but it's been in my other Tesla for 4 years and that's what I listen too

There is definitely some confusion going on here.. premium connectivity is just that.. the connection you have to the vehicle via your phone…

this does not include access to the individual Apps in the library, to my knowledge. So changing the access to the music App is similar to them removing the Disney App from the library in newer Teslas.. but you still have connectivity to the vehicle in general.

They didn't remove the Disney app, they just made it harder to find.

AFAIK, Premium Connectivity has nothing to do with your phone.

It’s the service that allows more data OTA than Standard Connectivity for things like streaming, satellite view, live traffic, etc.

What’s no longer included with Premium Connectivity is free access to LiveOne (Slacker). It’s going to be like Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal. You can stream it in car if you have a paid plan.

It’s not exclusively for the phone connection, correct. But in order to have the ‘sentry mode live view’ to your phone, then yes.. as well as the other stuff listed which is highly valued by many…

But the point remains… free music subscription cancellation and premium connectivity are two different things… one allows for the other.

Another point on the curve. I ordered a non-FS AWD with base wheels & Gray interior on 10/6/24. It showed Standard Connectivity. I had thought you got 1 month of FSD (Teaser?) and a short time of the Unlimited Connectivity. But there is nothing in the order docs to indicate even that.

I suspect Tesla will give you the option to cancel at no charge or accept the update. If you’ve already executed a purchase agreement and taken delivery then it’s a bait and switch but if you have not taken delivery they can call it an honest mistake and offer to cancel your order if the current terms are not acceptable to you.

My farm truck won't have premium connectivity. It also won't have an avatar either. Apparently my calling Elon dancing a dork was deemed as being something else, but I just wanted to share my two cents here.

Wish it didn't have fancy seats and had a metal roof. Hose out interior would be nice. I think I have speakers in the floor in the go to town truck.

Let's try to scrape some more stuff that can break out of this thing. Bring it down another $10k.

Premium connectivity is the gift that keeps on giving to Tesla. I don't like that proposition. Especially on a second truck.
