And that was before Tesla lowered the price of entry by a whopping $20K!
What price drop are you talking about? Beta testers paid $20k extra for the privilege of being early adopters, aka Foundation Series. MSRP hasn’t changed. Check your invoice.

I said they lowered the price of entry by $20K.

Before the Foundation Series ended, you had to pay $20K more to get one.

I live in Saint Augustine, Florida and commute to Jacksonville daily - about a 38 mile commute. Not a day goes by where I do not see at least 2 car carriers full of CT's headed down I-95 towards Miami/Orlando. Tesla ships them from Austin to Jacksonville via rail and it literally takes a week to get all the Tesla's unloaded and coordinated for shipping the final leg via car carrier. Wouldn't be too concerned about seeing a bunch of them in a lot. They are most likely being staged.

I was at the Memphis SC getting my Plaid serviced a couple of weeks ago and I asked "what's the deal with all the CT's on the lot? The last few times I've been here there have been around 20-30 on the lot any any given time. You would think that the people waiting 5 years would be ready to pick them up.". He said, " yeah, I see what you mean but what you do not see is that there are 15-20 people picking their CT's up EVERY DAY, and we get trucks in daily, if not twice a day with CT's. There is always a renewal daily."

I think CT will be a bit niche, perhaps with lower sales than S/X. Too polarizing and in some truck ways it's great but overall it's also got some big toughness weaknesses and functionality inside missing compared to say an F150. Have both here, and the F159 I worry less about in areas.

I traded in a Model S Plaid for the CT.

No question the Plaid was quicker, but it was almost unusably quick. The suspension on the CT is far more adjustable for a comparable sporting feel (well, as sporting as a 6,700lb vehicle can get) or put it in 'escalade' mode - comfort, medium ride height, and it can cruise for days.

If your Model S is post 2021 I've got a set of Tesla OEM winter wheels and tires in my garage eating space, used one season - maybe 3,000 miles. Need to take some pics and get them listed but I'm local to Lawrenceville so local pickup is always preferred and will be priced accordingly.

Have never driven a Lightning, but the regular F150 feels quick large and ponderous. Capable, for sure, but it's a lot to drive around everywhere. We picked up a used Model Y to go along with the CT. Similar to your S and potential CT. Either is a fantastic combo IMHO!
My model s is a 2019, lightning is great but a bit bigger than the cybertruck (nice in some ways as it is a lot roomier inside). In NJ for sure the cybertruck would be easier to park and get around.

One person’s “worry about” does not equal reliability and risk.

As I drove past the Tesla show room on I-45 south of Houston I saw a whole of, really a lot of CTs on the lot (50-75). This is pick-up country down here yet I dont see any CTs in the wild. Should I be worried that they are not catching on here and else where.
I saw 300 F150's at the dealer on 45 South also

Yep, car sales are VERY slow. CT suffers that same fate for a while now having gotten past the "I'll take it no matter what" crowd.

I believe I saw they pump something out like 1 F150 every minute in the past at least - crazy.

lol looks like the political trolls have infested this forum.
Thx for the feedback ya'll, it is encouraging. It was just that I did not want to get a truck that is a "flop". And after thinking about it now, there were just as many model Y and 3's in this same lot a year ago. But now I see those model Y's and model 3's all out in the wild every time I go into the city. We will still need to see a bunch of CTs around and about and that may not even help my case. Time will tell.

Respectfully...you should refrain from "worrying" about things that don't concern you. Enjoy your blessings. Nevermind, the rest! Thats what I am choosing to do! ??

I see 2-3 a day around Miami/Fort Lauderdale daily. I take delivery of my CB on 11/10.
