I prefer the limited amount on the road. At least by me I only see a handful.
I live in Manhattan beach. I see at least 1 to 2 on the road to work daily and a ton of Rivians. Convinced that the majority of CT's and Rivians are concentrated in my area. Went from picking mine up May 14th and everyone staring to hardly any glances now by the end of October lol I love how popular the truck is but sad that I'm not one of only 8,000 anymore haha

New car sales historically dip a few months before a Presidential election.

A lot of Cybertruck shoppers are also holding off for a 2025 since it’s so late in the year.

Thx for the feedback ya'll, it is encouraging. It was just that I did not want to get a truck that is a "flop". And after thinking about it now, there were just as many model Y and 3's in this same lot a year ago. But now I see those model Y's and model 3's all out in the wild every time I go into the city. We will still need to see a bunch of CTs around and about and that may not even help my case. Time will tell.
But you would feel better with a cookie cutter truck everyone has ?

I have never wanted to own a car that was overly popular/common. The only Toyota I’ve ever liked is the FJ Cruiser which is one of their lowest volume models.

I prefer my cars to be special and rare. So, as someone said above it would suit me just fine if the Cybertruck was a flop. TBH, all of this talk of it being the best selling EV truck outside of being a stockholder makes me, generally, uncomfortable. I didn’t buy it to be with the crowd I bought it because I like it. I’m generally annoyed if I see more than one or two of any of the cars that I own in a week. Fortunately, I usually don’t.

They are not producing 2k per day. They've never even produced 2k in a week. Tesla stated they peaked, thus far, at 1400 per week. They would absolutely announce if they hit 2k in a week.

The line only has a capacity of ~125k per year and it's not there, yet.
125000/year is 2400/week

Installed capacity isn't the same as the current utilization, though, as you said, they haven't exceeded 1400/week in actual output yet.

Risky play as all the EV tax credits - personal and commercial - could get zeroed out by a new administration.

Since the CT does not qualify for the $7500... kind of a moot point. Unless the are waiting for battery content change to then qualify, but how long will that take? I am hoping that EVENTUALLY, the 4680 will reach the goals outlined in the original battery day announcement, which will allow the CT to reach close to the 500 mile range outlined in the 2019 CT reveal. Wishful thinking? Perhaps ?

What price drop are you talking about? Beta testers paid $20k extra for the privilege of being early adopters, aka Foundation Series. MSRP hasn’t changed. Check your invoice.

Yes, that is a price drop. Tesla will be making less revenue per truck.

Actually, FS is a discontinued option package. Do you think you can get a new FS from Tesla for less than what we all paid? No.

Actually, both can be true.

Do you think you could buy a truck from Tesla without that package a month ago?
