Right, it's the amps that cause heating. If it runs 800V, then 180kW can be handled within the 350A limit.
Yea, assuming that it doesn't fry itself to death arcing over. Pretty much the same concept as melting itself to death with too much current.

Well, the item description says it's good to 1,000V.
But other adapter teardowns make me wonder about the spacing and insulation rating on the low voltage signal wires...

Ideally, on the HV to HV side of things, the charging equipment should detect any arcing issues while still at a low current level. Unless it's right on the limit and doesn't arc until a higher SOC. ?

I got my A2Z adapter last week and went to try it out today and strangely couldn't figure out exactly how to use it. It didn't seem to fit all the way in the Cybertruck charge port and I was unsure if you are to connect the charger handle to the adapter then plug it in or plug it in first. Anyway, I didn't want to screw up and get something stuck so I figured that I would just review some videos and try it again another day. I can't seem to find any videos of anyone using this adapter yet and it did not come with any documentation. Anyone have any feedback or instructions after using it yet?

Today I tested my new A2Z Cybertruck adapter. It worked great. I was at 33% SOC and got 246 kW from a 350 kW electrify America charger. Bottom line to answer your question. Plug the adapter onto the CCS1 connector connected to the charger. Follow directions on the charger and plug A2Z firmly and snuggly into charge port on car when directed. With the various CCS1 chargers out there, all with nearly worthless directions and no consistency, I think the technical term is, farkle with it until it works, and load apps as needed.

A2Z Cybertruck CCS1 to NACS is only for DC charging and can not be used for J1772 AC charging do has no lower cover. Specs are as fillows

Yep. I spoke to them and everyone uses their design. They license it to other companies like Teslaunch. The only difference is those companies wanted the AC charging and had to sign a waiver that it may have problems. A2Z said they are DC only to obtain UL2252 certification. They also said the internals look different. You will also notice the little button on DC is sheared off and there is no door. The L1 and L2 AC pins are also capped off.

I guess if you want AC charging at a CCS charger. I think you can use your J1772 adapter for that. I don’t know if that will work or not due to the CTs charge port and the big size of the CCS adapter.

CCS chargers are DC only.
J1772 is the AC part of CCS (Combined Charging System) where combined refers to supporting AC and DC on the vehicle side of things.

Right which is what I kinda said. ?. I assume if you were at a CCS charger that was not DC, you could potentially use your j1772 adapter on the upper part. But I haven’t tried that on a CT with a CCS charger because I’m not sure if it will reach.

Sort of, there are no CCS chargers that are AC, that would be a J1772 charger with the smaller connector.

CCS Charger = J1772 signal pins + DC pins - AC pins. It's the reverse of the A2Z adapter.
