Hi everyone! I’m an adventure-loving Cybertruck owner, and I’d like to share a story about Running Boards. It’s a tale of how I went from dismissing them as unnecessary to realizing they’re now an essential part of my daily life.

Starting with “I Don’t Need This”
Honestly, when I first got my Cybertruck, running boards weren’t even on my radar. The truck’s rugged design and high ground clearance were a big part of its appeal. Adding running boards? It felt like taming a beast, and I wasn’t sure it fit the Cybertruck’s vibe.

Reality, however, had other plans. One day, I took my family to a mountain park. My kids had a blast “climbing” in and “jumping” out of the truck, but their muddy shoes left trails everywhere. My parents? They laughed at the height of the door and joked, “Is this a truck or a climbing wall?” That’s when I started thinking: maybe running boards aren’t just for looks—they might actually be useful.

The Surprise After Installation
A few weeks later, I decided to install a set of Cybertruck Running Boards. They were designed to match the truck’s aesthetics: sturdy, minimalist, and with an industrial-futuristic vibe. I crossed my fingers, hoping they wouldn’t ruin the beastly appearance of my truck. Once installed, my first thought was, “Wow, this looks good!”

But the real surprise came when I started using them. At first, I thought they were just for my family, but I quickly realized I was relying on them too. Getting in and out of the truck became so much easier, especially on muddy or snowy terrain where extra stability made all the difference.

The Changes in Daily Life
Over time, these running boards have become a seamless part of my routine:

  • Helping my parents: They no longer have to “climb” into the truck and can step in gracefully.
  • Adventures with the kids: The little ones hop in with less mess, and I have fewer muddy footprints to clean up.
  • Loading and unloading gear: The running boards serve as a reliable step when I’m loading tools or reaching for gear on the roof.
A Little Extra Peace of Mind
I even discovered an unexpected benefit: protection. Once, I parked next to someone who opened their car door a little too forcefully—it hit the running board instead of my truck door. In that moment, I realized this “small addition” could also be a big help when it matters most.

In Conclusion
I’m not sharing this to say, “You absolutely need running boards.” The beauty of the Cybertruck is that you can make it your own based on your lifestyle. For me, these Running Boards added a touch of practicality that makes every trip—whether it’s an adventure or just a quick errand—easier and more enjoyable.

If, like me, you often take family trips, frequently load and unload items, or just want your truck to be more user-friendly, I’d recommend giving them a try. Who knows? They might become your “can’t live without” too.

Do they block/obstruct the lift points at all? I saw on a post elsewhere that someone had to remove the front supporting brackets off when they needed to lift up their truck? Can you please confirm? TIA

Our pedals are fixed, and once they are installed, their height is also fixed.

Video and comment doesn't answer the question if these nerf running boards block the lift points? I've gone off a comment that stated they have the same running boards on and in order to jack the front, they have to remove the brackets in the front to get access to the lift points. Can you confirm?

What does that mean?

Can you provide a few pics underneath of the lift points and running board installed?

Regarding the issue of the lifting points you mentioned, I have consulted our product testers, and I can assure you that they will not be blocked, and there is no need to remove any brackets.

I installed these few days ago and can confirm that they don't block the lift points.
See pics.
First one is from the back of the truck and the other two are from the front.
Yes, the front bracket sits close to the jack point but it's still usable and I don't think you need to remove the bracket. The back is completely open.
Hope this helps
