I had the Retrax on our Raptor. Pretty well sealed but fine dust would come through the lower section of the tail gate. Bought the gasket. Never installed it š
#3 a tail gate gasket might help with this.
what you experienced would also be true for any pickup truck with a bed tonneau/cover. The gasket would limit dust intrusion.
Not everybody lives in California. Once that pool of wealthy EV buyers is depleted then the rest of the country will matter more.

Most, if not all, car manufacturers leave newly built vehicles outside until they ship.
Pretty much no one ever checks the hubs as you canāt see them. No one pays attention to surface rust on the brake discs because why would they, but itās always there.

Went to the Dublin showroom to see one some weeks ago. Saw plenty on the road or parked down my street but really wanna see the inside (mainly the rear seats space).
Interesting thread. Since everyoneās driving record and deductibles may be different. Combined with the fact that itās a new vehicle with no history, Iām not sure how much value there is in all of this.
Assumption. Mention of lockers makes me think it might be dual but I could totally be wrong.
