Oh I'm not complaining or saying anything like, "Me first dammit!!" I 100% get that I'm way towards the back of the que. I even kinda planned it that way as getting my CyberTruck anytime in the next two years would be a big problem financially, but everything lines up awesome after that. Odds...
I put my order in last November/December. It's understandable that's going to be a LOOOONG wait. But how long? Can we even answer that before seeing production start and about 1 year of ramping up?
I just love how Tesla's engineers created the most solid, durable shape. It's built from the strongest possible materials. It's essentially the pickup truck designed for the zombie apocalypse or some Mad Max post apocalyptic future.
Rather than saying, "Truck guys are going to want the usual...
Ryan Shaw is a great example. He bought a Tesla several years ago. He's a big pro-Tesla pro-EV guy. His old car had fit and finish and build quality problems. He replaced it and his new Model Y has no such issues.
This also misses the point. Tesla's mission IS NOT to become the eternal luxury brand accessible to only the rich and the famous. Their mission is to eliminate ICE vehicles and speed up the transition to sustainable energy.
At the moment, they are trying to rapidly ramp production. This means...
Precisely my point. Right now, Tesla needs big profit margins because, unlike everyone else, they need to build about 15 more Gigafactories. They are still have vastly more demand than they can meet.
It is at least conceivable that Tesla offers a massive price drop, but logically that massive...
Oh I absolutely hope I'm wrong on my prices!! I'm much more in favor of the sliding scale starting at $50K. It would be vastly better for Tesla's mission of getting the world off of fossil fuels quickly. The trouble is, I have a very hard time seeing any version of the Cybertruck coming in...
I'm hopeful that Elon Musk decides to give up half of their 50% profit margin in order to really catapult the Cybertruck to overwhelming success.
I guess it's possible that there will be a single motor 3 seater cybertruck. Maybe that comes in at $50,000 but $70K, is more likely in the current...
