  1. Jay Leno Drives Tesla Semi!

I caught that and was very happy to hear that. Not sure if they use two inverters on the semi since it will need so much power but if the Cybertruck has an inverter that is put to use in a Class 8 semi that means there will be lots of power available. Heavy load or not, the Cybertruck WILL haul ass.
  2. Cybertruck pricing hinted by Musk's comment on "expensive" F-150 Lightning (even after today's $10K price cut)? 🤔

Well, I think this is really good news for those worried about Cybertruck pricing. Does this mean Tesla has to match Ford pricing? I don't think so as I believe the CT will be a much better truck. But Ford also has competition coming from Chevy also and the F150 is their lifeblood. Bit tired of...
  3. Cybertruck to enter mass production towards end of 2023

The article didn't have any numbers to the mass production goal. So is it 1,000/week 3,000/week? Whatever their goal is for the end of '23, they still know they need to ramp up production after that. And I'm hoping I'm wrong, but my guess is that even at the end of '23 there will still be issues...
  4. Cybertruck

If you really, really REALLY want an early CT, go to work for Tesla in the Austin factory!!:)
  5. Blast from the past: Bob Lutz "Tesla is headed to the graveyard"

At least Lutz hasn't gone down the Gordon Johnson route of still saying Tesla is doomed. He still has things he will nitpit about Tesla, but is now mostly is quite praising of what Tesla has done. Maybe could have added a few links at the end to counterpoint his assessment 3 1/2 years ago.
  6. 2022 Feb 23 - Sandy Munro thinks CyberTruck has NO engineering obstacles

I like to see Sandy go on a rant!!! And I'm sure after 40+ years of telling people how to do/make things better/faster/cheaper and being ignored because a/b/c/d/e excuse, he has a lot of frustration.
  7. Silverado EV Predictions

And OMG!! It has a fixed-glass roof!! GM is once again leading the way!/s
  8. Cybertruck with a side of Pie

Maybe they are collaborating with Neuralink? Or maybe they have an interface that won't change how you operate the phone with every upgrade to the OS. Tesla has more than enough on their plate, so please just get my CT out the door with the 4680s.
  9. WSJ Live w/ Elon: Cybertruck will our best product ever; U.S. EV subsidies should be canned; & more....

Or maybe the government should subsidize taking the ICE vehicles off the road. As we transition to EVs, the ICE vehicles will be worth next to nothing. The lower and middle income folks that delay on switching will be hit hardest as their second most valuable asset becomes worthless. Didn't...
  10. Tesla Cybertruck Two Years In: What's Happened Since The Debut?

Good summary of some of the important steps we've seen since the annoucement. Only thing I think they should have added is the rear wheel steering tweet Elon had on July 3. We have seen videos that look to confirm that being added. Most of the any other details(wipers, outside rear view mirror...
  11. Tesla Wall Connector (Gen 4) for Cybertruck

It isn't actually the size of the battery that matters but rather how far you drive in a day and what the vehicle's consumption turns out to be. That's probably going to be about 420 Wh/mi. If you drive 100 mi per day then you will have to load 42 kWh meaning you'll need 42/0.9 = 46.7 from the...
  12. Consider placing another CT order.

Also am a double order. First order was December 2019. 2nd order was this April. The plan was to get a dual motor with FSD which about hits my financial limit. But I figure that my 2nd order will be 1 1/2 to 2 years later. Hoping that I can sell a dual motor for what I've paid and upgrade to a...
  13. Tesla's AI Day Event Did A Great Job Convincing Me They're Wasting Everybody's Time

The joy of driving from a young age soon turns into a boring, tedious task. Some people enjoy it longer than others and certain roads/vehicles can bring back that joy. But those who resist progress on FSD are also ignoring the fact that highway fatalities in the US are in the mid-to-high 30,000...
  14. Tesla is prepping for giant Supercharger expansion ahead of opening the network to other EVs

I would hope that they plan to at least double the Superchargers in the Austin area. I hope to go there to pickup my CT like many of you and there maybe many MY customers that will want the same thing. The factory itself may become a bit of a tourist attraction for EV owners as well so having...
  15. What does "Beta Phase" mean?

Tesla more than any other vehicle manufacturer is a software entity that writes its own software for each vehicle. There may be a base code that each vehicle uses, but I would be very surprised if a M3 had the exact same software as a Plaid MS. So with such a completely different...
