One thing I wonder about, are they really going to have FOUR variants?
Single motor
Dual motor
Tri motor
Quad motor
It just seems unlikely. Not sure the Tri motor will even survive. Maybe Dual and Quad.
Not to mention range. Maybe the 4 motor could be the plaid version. Note: There are no 4 motor Tesla's yet. For individual control of the wheels for off road it's pretty interesting. But then the big elephant in the room...PRICE!
As it should be!
Delivery date for you: 2035!!!
...just kidding, but who knows? I reserved the night of the reveal for a TriMotor but now with the advent of the 4 motor, who knows and no real delivery dates for anyone yet.
I agree, or for many early reservers maybe even two years! I did Tri Motor with FSD and i am within the first 20,000 for that configuration, but that will still need some kind of ramp.
Yes the Model X price went up a bit and i am not a falcon wing door fan. I think just a little bigger and no falcon wing doors and he would already have sold a LOT more. People want something Chevy Traverse or Tahoe sized. The comparisons show the model Y as nearly the same size and a lot less.
Yes. It's $1,000 down but supposedly fully refundable. But, as you said, delivery dates, like the CT keep getting pushed back. So who knows when i would actually be getting it. I am sure i am at the rear of that queue as it was pretty recently i put in. And the Rivian SUV just has the vague next...
Put in for a Rivian R1S, their sport utility. I also ordered the night of the reveal, though not as early as you. I also wonder which I may have the opportunity to get first!
So far they do an amazing job with an open differential and computer controlling the brakes on the tire without traction. But that doesn't really mean that will be what they totally use for the CT. Probably depend on motor configurations as well.
They do need some testing information published like Rivian. At least shortly before configuration is available would be nice. But so far Tesla is not very forthcoming about that kind of information. But we can hope!
