The roof part alone could probably be enough for 400 to 500w/h without being more efficient then a normal solar panel. Based on my estimate that the area is about 2 m2 (22 square feet).
I was hoping it's solar panel as well, in the scorching sun where I live, it will a greenhouse. Even if it's just a 400w panel, it would be enough for a couple of kwh a day. Maybe double with the solar tonneau cover.
Would you have to pay the full amount of the F150 in the fall of 21? If not, you can keep the hedge and by the time you get the 2nd car, decide which one to keep and sell the other one. With the amount of reservations for the CT it won't be hard to sell it for hardly any loss to someone a lot...
According to the Ford specs it was able to provide 9.6kwh, that is quite a lot, about the same as 1 Tesla Powerwall can provide. So it won't allow you to turn on all the AC's, Dryer and water kettle at the same time, but if you are sitting in the dark otherwise, you'll be pretty happy with this.
I think you're correct, I think Elon is just talking about catching the condensation water that comes from running the AC, so when you are running you car in a high temperature environment and get stuck or something you get a liter of water to stay alive. Probably beats drinking your own urine.
Let me know if it worked as Saskateam said. I have ordered a single motor reservation 5396, so I don't want to loose it, but I don't want to wait an extra year, since they changed the order of production.
I don't think they should use the X for it, they won't have the excuse of bumping an arrested person against the roof while putting him handcuffed in the car.
