I’m with you. I don’t care about tank turns and other off road gimmicks. Give me range…and if that makes it quicker and haul heavier loads, I’ll deal.
I recall one of the early crashes on autopilot involved a driver watching a movie on his IPad. And he was watching a Harry Potter movie, just to make him look that much dumber.

I’m hoping that Tesla takes a similar approach as the past with reservations, in that they will prioritize region and current Tesla owners along with trim level. Of course I’m being selfish, but I live in SoCal and am a current owner with a tri motor on order, so I hope I can jump up in line...
Don’t forget the Plaid+ will have high end brakes, suspension, forged aluminum wheels, expensive tires, not to mention the wide body to fit the larger wheels/tires, perhaps a larger spoiler to name a few things.
And just to clarify the last couple of posts, the rated range is battery at 100% under ideal conditions. As mentioned unless you are going on a perfectly flat road in 73 degree windless conditions you won’t get the rated range. You shouldn’t expect it nor rely on it. Every little thing makes...
