Nah wasn’t a faulty tower I don’t believe. I went on a 200 mile round trip and it was still wacky throughout. It seems to have sorted itself out overnight though. Positioning is back to normal. Must’ve been a glitch.

I have 70% tint on my windshield. That takes care of up to 99% of UV, so technically shouldn’t need any protection in that aspect.
