I think this is a normal sound. Sound travels much easier through cold air. I have heard this with my truck and other electric motors. I think this is a fairly normal gear backlash sound. Its easier to notice when I hold a certain 'throttle' position.

I think this appears to happen because it is a close to real time reading under the current conditions inside and outside. Some energy always gets lost as heat and everyone sets the climate however they like. Once the accessories get turned on there is more draw.
