don't know if your wall connector has a schedule on it or not. Those are separate from the cars schedule and commands. I have had the same thing happen to me. If you have a schedule for the wall connector you need to go into the home tell it to start charging from there. Its always bugged me...
The people with the F-150 whole home backup have been having many issues with a complicated system from multiple vendors all pointing fingers at each other. I know Tesla will get it right and make it all seamless. I just got a Powerwall installed and will be one of those waiting.
