I can't agree more.
Being a sucker for value, which is fundamentally different from pursuing the best deal (usually means the other side isn't getting the best deal therefore something has to happen with inherent risk), or the best product (usually comes with the highest premium) - I have no...
The chart is for YOU to compare; not me comparing it for you. Looking across, looking up and down, your call, your choice, your conclusion. That's what the matrix is for.
If you read "Elon Musk" by Walter Isaacson, you will know his mode of operation.
First he sets a ridiculously mad goal with one absolutely out of whack deadline.
Then It drives everyone nuts. Some will quit. Some stays to try to achieve this goal.
At the end it draws the last drip of blood out...
Gandi and Confucius both warned us before:
"Never wait for something promised by that guy named Elon Musk from South Africa. Enjoy your life as usual. Live like a normal person on earth as if you have heard nothing from that person."
Peace.
Seriously, who would actually believe Tesla is obligated to honor that original pricing? Manufacturer's official, hard printed, MSRP is not even a promise, nada, useless, or dealers all have to eat dirt.
There is no buy-sell transaction every happened at that point. The 100 bucks is not for...
I would slightly edit your post by saying:
That's what the original 500 mi range is for. The so called extender is exorbitantly more expensive and competely destroys the bed space. Heck, it's not even the same truck anymore, is it? Maybe they can add a trim, and call it the "Humpback Whale"...
The elephant in the room is truly the battery. 4680 is supposed to have sufficient density to substantiate the 500mi range, and offer cost saving to support the price. It's boasted as the biggest thing 4 years ago and would change everything and leave everybody in the dust. 4 years later, it's...
I am with you 100%. In the same boat. Keep my reservation for the tri and see what happens.
Two things must happen for me to jump in again:
1. 500 miles or close. 450 would do. F---K that range extender. What a horse sh--t load of F joke!
2. Price drop of the Tri after Tesla collects boat load...
Agreed except:
it's not to make more profit by presenting high prices; it's here to reduce loss. Every single CT rolled off the line in the first year or two or even three, brings in net loss, 10k plus loss each, not a dime of profit, even at the current price.
Managerial accounting tells us...
"Seems clear to me" is not an answer, it too weak to be of any intelligent value.
When you make a statemet, dumb or not, just list one or two supporting evidence. It's called logical reasoning and that's how civilizations move. We aren't in the dark ages anymore.
I stated that the spec page...
Now that you claim the Spec page is " pretty clear". Point out where does it mention the word "Motor", please.
Also claims it's cost competive. Please compare cost per mile of range, which is the most "cost competive" index, please.
I've said many times, there will be eough people paying regardless and Tesla knows it very well. The problem is, Tesla is not to be Ferrari, not Porsche, not lamborghini; it's supposed to be the EV disrupter replacing Toyota, selling tens of millions of corolla, Camry and 4runner vehicles...
Of course they start out expensive but Not only it's 40 to 50% more expensive, it's 36% less range!
Imagine gets raped and being proposed for marriage at the same time.
