most chargers allow this thing to fit between them. if they dont (and there isnt an occupied pull in spot) its not a problem to detach my tent and put it aside.

as long as trailer mode is off, fsd will work. I drove from philly to madison wisconsin with my rear cam blocked by my hitch tent. fsd all the way no probs.

yeah thats why they put that setting in so that you dont have to worry about it.

I can confirm this works as well with the flat connector and trailer mode off.
