NEW PCS (Power Conversion System) Failure & Replacement News

My service center in Orland Park, IL is exactly this. Even when you send them pics of broken glass. Not sure I have ever made a scheduled visit with details and them ever having the parts needed that I can recall. Mind you, I have only minimal complaints with the work they do at, at least no...

NEW PCS (Power Conversion System) Failure & Replacement News

I wasn't far behind you with my first true PC being the IBM PCjr. Despite it being a flop, It seeded my career so its value far exceeded its reviews for me.

    Hail storm (2"-3") survival results.

Yep pretty happy with the outcome all things considered. There is some big time bragging rights if Tesla could just perhaps somehow address the tonneau covered durability and you got yourself a good promotional score.

Some truth to that. Now if the insurance company’s would take the toughness into account, they should lower our comp coverage policy costs! This example saved them several thousand dollars.

    Hail storm (2"-3") survival results.

Yeah I have the same concerns. I do wonder if I have the cover completely replace if I can acquire the damage cover? As it stands at the moment, my primary concern is getting the MR back and I can deal with the CT at a later date. It's not like I am going to look out of place in my area have...

    Hail storm (2"-3") survival results.

Thank you. Yeah I don’t recall anyone yet posting about a hefty hail storm so thought I would provide a report. I was only about 5 miles away from the 3”-4” larger hail fortunately. None of my 58 solar panels appear to have any apparent damages but the new roof shingles took a bit of a...

    Hail storm (2"-3") survival results.

Of the 2 or so times I cycled it there was no issues.

    Hail storm (2"-3") survival results.

No body damage or glass damage to be found. However, the weak point is the tonneau cover. It did take from what I can tell 4 visible dents on it. For others if you may find yourself with enough warning, I would recommend opening up the cover to prevent damage during a hail storm to protect...

    V2G coming to Cybertruck soon

Even if they do cover its usage under warranty for V2G usage, I still imagine that it will put some cycle wear on the vehicle battery that would cost you down the road. The reality is, can you save/produce more money using the CT for V2G vs the wear and cost of a replacement pack down the road...

    V2G coming to Cybertruck soon

This would be ideal but as it stands now, the power company contracts specify "stationary" battery banks and have no provisions for mobile power such as the CT. I tried all I could to get ComEd to apply some DG rebates for my CT unsuccessfully. Had they supported it, I would have got a $35k+...

    V2G coming to Cybertruck soon

It would make sense if it extends your home battery solar system. Where as, you prioritize charging the home batteries first thing when the sun comes up (with excess electricity) then begin charging the Truck. As night time comes, discharge the home batteries and once those are depleted, you...

285/75/18 Nokian Outpost NAT tires + 18" Atomic Wheels - my review / experience

Was the roughly 10% range loss coming from AT tires or all season tires?

    Hardcore FSD CT user's question:

It is not a daily issue, but I would say a bimonthly event would be a fair assessment. I am also a low milage driver as well. 5k-6k miles per year.

    Hardcore FSD CT user's question:

Doesn't FSD v14 now include intent/strategy? I am not sold that you need 2 camera's to produce a 3D representation. I had always understood that you could achieve this with multiple frames from a single camera video feed due to movement and then be able to infer a 3D image from the differences...
