Switched to K03 tires on my FS AWD and while I enjoyed them at first and they were awesome in snow, the noise became unbearable and the range hit was real.
Went from 380 wh/mile over the first 29k miles on stock ATs to 460 wh/mile on the K03 over the following 6,100 miles. Ouch, a 20% range...
Did the same. Vin 4,xxx to 93,xxx
3.99% + great trade in value + FSD transfer put me over the edge
and wow
Night and day difference.
Quiet and smooth, even better than I had expected, for sure.
and I really like the gray interior over the previous white
Almost 2 years of going through my local brush car wash weekly.
Truck looks like new with.no noticeable effects and I’m pretty attentive to detail.
Exactly why I decided not towrap the CT - finish is nearly indestructible relative to wraps and paint
just traded my 2024 for a 2026, vin in the 91,xxx range and it’s dead quiet.
Like remarkable quiet.
My 2024 made the sounds everyone is referring to from day 1 and 35k miles. Core wheels and tires are super quiet too.
2026 AWD Core Wheels, Grey Interior
Ordered Feb 5, 2026
VIN assigned Feb 24, 2026
Delivery March 18, 2026
VIN in 91,XXX range
Traded in FS CT AWD VIN in 4,XXX range with 35,200 miles
FSD Transfer worked, took about 20 minutes extra at delivery to confirm with TESLA mothership
Initial...
I feel like that back wall separating the rear seats from truck bed allows a lot of noise infiltration. Especially with K02s. I sat in back the other day and was really pretty horrified by just how loud it is.
I also heard the front door panes have new part numbers and use either butyl or some other sound deadening to prevent thumping / resonance at high speeds and strong cross winds.
During my FSD transfer adventure the sales rep made the point several times that FSD is tied to Tesla account email. I can see where this would be an issue if you’ve got multiple Tesla vehicles on your account.
Ordered Feb 6, Delivery scheduled for March 18 @ Mount Kisco, NY
Trading in my FS with 35k miles, had since May 1, 2024
Transferring FSD as well
Be aware - there is a form my advisor sent me to document the FSD transfer
Very fair trade in value received, especially when adding value of FSD transfer
Going through this process now, FSD Transfer. Even for a transfer within the window and stated rules, this took quite some time and a lot of asking to get an actual contract. I wanted something I could sign to prove the FSD transfer on my FS CT will actually take place. Didn't want to take...
Well, I did exactly what you are proposing.
Picked up my current FS AWD CT on May 1, 2024.
My current VIN is in low 4000s, have 34k miles and never a serious problem - though 50k miles is coming up fast and PCS failure is a legit concern
I really have loved my truck more than any prior car...
