Welp, the OEM light bar is now available to all in the Tesla shop. I wonder if they will now sell the parts for DIY without all the run-around!

Of course! Nobody going to argue that. However, getting our hands on the bracket hardware is the issue as you know. That said, we eventually got our hands on the light bar itself which was inconceivable a year ago, so anything is possible.

Man, I’m not totally sold as nobody here has used that yet. Maybe I’ll do goop around the edges to supplement the tape. thoughts @kingeninc ?

i’m getting ready to do my own DIY install of an OEM light bar I picked up for my AWD. After having read this entire thread, is there anyone that still has had it on for a period of time with the tape method or has everyone chickened out? 😬

I have a do it yourself wrap kit I want to put on, but I noticed my rear quarter panel is slightly loose on the top, it’s not terrible, but I could pull it back with my hand versus the other side. I cannot do this. Should I have service replace this before I wrap it or is this not that big of a...

I have them in the middle 2 spots and haven’t noticed any additional noise. I also got them second hand for cheap and just for the looks! 🤣
