    Also the Ford 80amp charger. Not sure if you can buy it without the lightning truck.

    Agreed a stand-alone EVSE is the best solution but he was asking how to prepare for any EV. Being that there’s two different types of connectors out there, a 50 amp receptacle isn’t a bad idea. Just make sure the plug is commercial/industrial rated.

    Run a large conduit from your panel to a junction box at your charger location. You can throw in a 50 amp plug for now which will cover most cars. You can always replace the breaker and wire later if you want something bigger but I’d just wait to see what you actually need.
