Doing 10K miles starting in 5 weeks, going for 5 weeks...my PCS failed this week.
I see it as a plus. I can still charge at 24 amps, and I now have free supercharging for 90 days. That's like a grand of free supercharging for my trip.
Fingers crossed it pops in a moderate way for yours also...
I tried doing this with my Cybertruck, and Uber wouldn't have it. Still not approved after 2 years of trying off and on.
Wish Lyft would let us do comfort or something above the basic level, with the truck. Haven't done any drives with them with it, maybe when it snows again I'll take it out to...
They're pushing an update that will allow them all to supercharge after the failure. And giving free supercharging. But it's Tesla, so it's going to take a few weeks to roll out I'm sure.
Apparently, if you let them deep sleep, the error goes away and most can supercharge soon after. AC still...
You're a god amongst men! Thank you for this! Lost my cover, and fasteners. Finally got a new cover from Tesla...doesn't include fasteners. Printing these now, thank you!
I mean, it takes out other components when it fails some times, that's why it can be 6 or 7 grand to fix. If we're lucky, it'll charge slow on AC, and that's it. But still, at that point, I'm rushing to a service center. Don't want it to get worse and cause more damage, stranding me longer.
That's not a Tesla problem, that's an EV problem. My GM EV had issues and I was told to take it to their EV specialist in a neighboring state. Kind of insane.
But there are more and more EV repair shops opening up. Plenty of stories of Tesla saying someone needs a 14 grand battery pack, and an...
Exactly, I'm driving coast to coast with the family this summer, and for the first time, I'm nervous about doing it with a Tesla. Only a 10% chance of being stranded hundreds of miles from a service center, needing a part that's back ordered a few weeks...awesome. That'll cost me thousands in...
