HF, VHF/UHF antenna (for HAM radio) install on my Cybertruck, works really well! 📶

It's been over a year since I have done HF in the truck, so perhaps my memory is failing with the details. I'll have to toss the Ham Sticks into the back and head up to the hills again sometime to test again. Of course my neighborhood (like yours) is full of random RF, so the noise floor is...

HF, VHF/UHF antenna (for HAM radio) install on my Cybertruck, works really well! 📶

I originally set things up using a BioEnno 9Ah battery. Same results as using an AC/DC converter plugged into the outlet. S7 on the meter whether I'm driving or not. If you look at your 2m S-meter, what do you see? I've also tried two difference radios but got the same result. HF for me...

HF, VHF/UHF antenna (for HAM radio) install on my Cybertruck, works really well! 📶

For those of you who are running 2m in their Cybertrucks, have you noticed a high noise level? I have had 2m radios in all of my Teslas since 2013 and never had an issue until the Cybertruck. Now (only on 2m, not a problem with HF) I have an s7 noise level. If I add a band pass filter I can...

Vibration/wind noise coming from Driver side door of CT

Any update on your experiment? I've always suspected the driver side mirror to be the culprit. Didn't Tesla, on the refreshed model Y, put a little fin on the mirror for better airflow?

Highest Super-Charger cost per kWh in Your Area!?

Most chargers in CA that I've been to average 46-48 cents/kWh. If you are paying 58 in SV, you can save 10 cents by going to the SC at Bernardo or the newish one by Grant Rd. Of course some of those drop to 33 cents during non-peak times.

    HAM radio antenna mount options

Very stable. These are made by a manufacturer who makes these nmo antenna mounts to fit other off road cars. Do you also have these for SO-239 antennas? If so, I would be interested.

Guy walks into traffic while on his phone. Kicks my CB.

He probably hurt his foot. However, even though he was in the wrong, I would have still stopped short of entering the crosswalk until he was clear. The cars in the next lane over did exactly that.

Sold my FS one day, picked up a new one with Free SuperCharger 2 days later.

From time to time, usually at the end of a calendar year, Tesla does various promotions. My wife was able to have her free supercharging transferred from her 2017 X to a new Model Y at the end of 2023.

    Heres another stupid cybertruck behavior.

If you are leaving the scene, your lights should be in Auto. If you are helping someone along the roadway in the dark, having them in Park would be correct. Also, the vehicle will lock when you are more than 5-10' away.

    Limited regen going downhill

That is what I assumed, but good to hear that you have confirmed it with real world driving.

    Limited regen going downhill

Thanks for doing this. This is exactly what I was experiencing. This seems to only happen with the Cybertruck (in my experience) and not any of my other Teslas. I'm hoping a future software update will cure this behavior.
