  1. Cybertruck vs X vs Y vs 3(1:1)

Before getting on the CT waiting list we asked the same question of the three that looked like they will be at the same low end price point, the 3, the Y, and the CT. The CT seats six which is more than the cars at the same price point, hauls loads and tows trailers, adjustable suspension so...
  2. Why I'm Getting The F150 Lightning

I choose to stick with the Cyber Truck for some of the same reason you are switching. I will be a great work truck and family road tripper. My budget dictates I stick with the cheaper version but still prefer CT in both categories. The reasons it wins for me, a little bit longer range...
  3. I Cancelled my Cybertruck for the F150 Lightning

This would be the correct/legal way to do it, not the illegal shortcut we were discussing before.
  4. I Cancelled my Cybertruck for the F150 Lightning

For someone who didn't understand electricity it could be very dangerous. Imagine someone having a live cable with two male ends and didn't understand how important it was to kill power before unplugging it, like any other power cable. Or didn't understand the danger of not flipping the...
  5. I Cancelled my Cybertruck for the F150 Lightning

@anionic1, That may be a way to do it but I thought it would be best to not post info for doing something that is illegal most everywhere, not to mention dangerous.
  6. F150 Lightning Prices leaked . CyberTruck pricing seems much more competitive now

F150 doesn't supercharge. That alone rules it out for me, otherwise I would consider it. Another issue I have, last time I checked you still couldn't put a sheet of plywood in the bed of an F150, at least laying it flat. I can hall a load of plywood in my minvan but not in a full size Ford...
  7. I Cancelled my Cybertruck for the F150 Lightning

The CT has a 220 volt outlet, correct? Don't know what amperage, I'll assume only 30a, but it wouldn't be difficult to patch that back into your breaker box to power your house. 30a wouldn't power much but it would keep you from freezing. You would have to take great care that it's done...
  8. Bed rail system is from Pro Audio industry.

It would appear that I am wrong about the rails in the bed. I swear I saw a pic somewhere that looked like the slots contained the same track used on speakers. You just insert a clip and have a strong tie down wherever you need it. But now I can't find that pic and all others I've looked up...
  9. A shorter CT

I believe the tailgate flip, if that refers to what I think it does, would work fine. In reality, I don't haul that much lumber but having a 4x8 bed is still one of the things I insist on. Currently I drive the only mini van available that will haul full sheets of plywood and pull my trailers...
  10. A shorter CT

I have to agree with some of the other comments above. If they are going to make it smaller they CAN NOT shorten the bed. Some of us actually plan to use it for work and it needs to easily handle a full sheet of plywood. I also would prefer a long bed version, 8' bed with the tail gate up.
  11. Odd Changes to Cybertruck Bed?

fritter63, it was explained in Star Trek Enterprise.
  12. Bed rail system is from Pro Audio industry.

Hello, I put my reservation in yesterday (5/10/21) and am now looking at a long wait for a Cybertruck. I work in the concert industry as an audio tech. We supply speakers, amps, console, mics, ect., for concerts and festivals around the Midwest. One thing I noticed when I first watched the...
