Yes. Thanks
And my rear brake dust is really bad. I will post a pic of it.
That's odd. None of my EVs (Cybertruck and 3 Model 3's) have a brake dust problem. That's something I see on ICE vehicles more typically.

I just swapped out wheels on my Cybertruck and the pads looked unused.

The covers have been on for about a month.

Driver side has even more.

IMO the LR caliber is sticking on some trucks.

This was a member of this forum who did a poor job of painting his calipers. It's highly likely this was nothing more than paint dripping onto the wrong place and causing the brake pads to not retract normally.

I'm not a fan of painting calipers, they don't need paint, it just retains more heat.

You can see a photo of the disc post-fire here, it looks like just a dragging pad:

Please people, keep paint out of places it doesn't belong!

You may be right. If it was directly causal, wonder why it didn't happen on the first drive or soon after the pro paint job?

Would you hold the same opinion if you knew it also happened to a new CT owner I know, with non-modified, stock parts with less than 1k mi? SC confirmed & replaced rotor, burnt caliper, pads. Not interested in stoking hype, but I don't think it should be dismissed. Whatever the cause of the excessive LR brake dust and LR brake fire(s) something is not proper, owners should keep an eye on it and report it as an issue.

My Cybertruck doesn't have excessive brake dust, quite the opposite really, far less than my F-150. In fact, I can't recall ever noticing brake dust on my Cybertruck wheels, even after washing the truck.

Glad you are not seeing it on yours! Hopefully it's just a few with something out of the ordinary going on and they get it it rectified.

Bringing this back... Any actual solutions to this?? Anything from Tesla or the SC's?

My rear wheels are worse than the fronts... and the Left rear wheel is very bad. Coated in about a week.

I made an appointment with SC to take a look.
