    Hail proof ?

Ha ha... no. My understanding of the laser is that it is only effective at the interface of the glass and the debris. Less incineration more just over coming van der waals force ( sticky force)

I assume Rivian will make a truck... they have the money but so many get so close and then never deliver. It actually amazing Tesla managed so much with such great products.

    Hail proof ?

And yet... 10lbs at the end of a stick swung by Franz is still 10lbs. If Elon said now Franz is going to hit the object with a mallet it would have been even more incorrect then saying sledgehammer. I wouldnt say I'm a fanboy prior to cybertruck... I liked the stuff Elon was doing but didnt...

    Hail proof ?

I challenge you to a croquet off! 🤔 I agree that the croquet mallet is used with both hands and is thus miss named, probably because it is wooden. Polo mallet is also wooden and it is used 1 handed. But the outliers dont change the fact that what tesla used cannot be called a mallet. It was a...

    Hail proof ?

A 10lb dead blow is still a 10lb sledge hammer it just covered rubber to prevent surface mar. I assume the reason they used it was they didnt want scratch the door or maybe deaden the hammer sound. My tacoma door would have caved in with that hit and their point was made. I don't think it's at...

    A Cybertruck with these wheels

No. I've used a skid steer with tires like that. They are fantastic for high puncture construction sites. Wouldnt want to drive them high speed though because they get dirt and rocks inside.

    Hail proof ?

I live in the northeast and have rarely seen hail but it was always with tremendous wind where houses blow away etc. Does anyone think that parachute cloth is going to hold up in a thunderstorm? I see a truck with shreds of rags in my mind. I'm also questioning the ability to hold off hail. What...

Rumor: There will be no single motor Cybertruck! RWD model will be dual motor.

This thread is so much speculation about something that goes against what tesla is accepting orders for. 4 motors torque vectoring is not that useful for most driving. If torque vectoring is needed it would be most useful on the steering wheels which would mean 1 motor in the back on all the...

Cybertruck vs Rivian R1T - Specs and Visual Comparison

The model 3 has a glove box and a minimalist dash. Besides I think the dash matches the seat backs so its probably configurable color wise. Honestly paper composite countertops are a wonderful material choice for a dash. The only thing better than a glove box is if the entire dash opens and is...

Wow I prefer the CT dash. I've gotten used to it. So much nicer to throw gloves and hearing protection on it.

    Long equipment and material hauling

I'm hoping the tent mount points are also the ladder rack mount points. Be nice to quickly remove ladder rack when I dont need it and put it on when I do. Most ladder racks are way over built and heavy. 500lbs carry capacity is more than enough for me.

At what point does FSD start assisting?

The right answer is kill em all and let god sort it out.
