Charge sharing service-it's a million dollar idea

A network of EV owners could be formed. Let’s call it GSZ (Good Samaritan Zap). No money is exchanged. You get credit by Kilowatts you give and lose credits by what you get. A set of network rules will have to be abided by all members. Some rules are set by individuals to set their own...

Charge sharing service-it's a million dollar idea

I stayed at a place in Albuquerque that has a Tesla Charger installed for guest use. That makes sense because you sleep there. Home charge sharing for desperate times make sense but as a Source of revenue, I think utility companies will definitely want a piece of action.

    Price of FSD on Resale

I think this is a much more likely scenario than FSD hitting $100K. FSD is not made out of rare precious metals. It is made out of smarts. As long as humans don’t forget how to Boink, there will always be more of it. Smarts has a fluid kinda property too; it can move from one company to...

    Price threat...possibly. Stainless steel price

You may have discovered the reason for update delay: Cybertruck is cancelled and they don’t know how to tell us. But if it is not, even if they have to redesign at some point due to shortage of Nickel + Chromium, there is always an upside; A lot of us may end up with collactables ;)

    Price threat...possibly. Stainless steel price

How much steel do you think goes to one CT? Price increase from 2015 to 2019 was $200 for a Metric Ton: https://www.focus-economics.com/commodities/base-metals/steel-usa we may be able to afford the increase for one CT

What is the likelihood that the first CT deliveries will be the Tri-CT with FSD option enabled?

There Are other incentives besides financial to get Tri-Motor out as soon as possible. Not that Tesla needs more CT reservations at this point but word of mouth is how they sell cars and first impressions are important. Every car reviewer and their mama has an early reservation. The first...

    Price threat...possibly. Stainless steel price

Besides $10K FSD and potential Insurance revenue provides a lot of cushion to deal with unexpected supply fluctuations if Tesla wishes to stick with what they showed at the time of reservation.

    Price threat...possibly. Stainless steel price

Any increase in price or drop in specs (making things like air suspension, vault cover,.....optional) will seriously push me toward another brand. CT value is what put my purchase on hold. I won’t reward any company that tries to pull a fast one. Will pay a bit more to someone else that was...

I want to see this survey a year from now.

I think the only reason Ford is planning to have Electric F150 is that they have done the same math you just did. What is interesting is that they probably will be shooting themselves in the foot with every Electric F150 they sell because their ICE profit margin is likely to be higher. If...

I want to see this survey a year from now.

Then you will be more thrilled or more disappointed with the update (if it ever comes out). I am crossing my fingers you will be more thrilled ;)

I want to see this survey a year from now.

Familiarity is a temporary measure. Once Youtube videos of CT owners come out, sleeping in back of their CT looking at the stars (I really want that mid-gate) in a national park, the grin on their faces when they accelerate, accessories they add with the money left on their pocket due to lower...

    Corporate Espionage?

If you see other EVs are infected with phantom braking, you know which piece of code was stolen and why it was not well guarded ;)

It is effing final. Elon said so himself! "Cybertruck doesn’t need a garage"

If it didn’t happen in 2020, it probably will never happen however, If people steal oxygen sensors off of a Prius, before you know it, they will figure out how to cut batteries and motor out of CT in your driveway. Then there would be mad rush to cleanup garages to open up space for CT.

    Cybertruck update date

I doubt he runs back and forth between spaceX and Tesla to personally tighten screws. All he has to do copy and paste content of an email from his team to his tweeter account. It may be wishful thinking but I am hoping the delay is because he is trying to maximize the shock and awe effect by...

Hope this doesn’t happen with the CyberTruck

I feel your pain. No one wants to pay through the nose for a brand new car and have to live with annoyances from the first day. I want to have it all too but the fact is a newer agile company can give you some innovations faster than the older big boys at the expense of other things. I fully...

Hope this doesn’t happen with the CyberTruck

This makes me feel much better about my spot. I expect my CT to have some improvements over the first 1000. Even if it is with Home Depot parts, I am cool with that. At least I know it is a part I can get.
