  1. The Cybertruck vs Porsche 911 Drag Race Tesla Didn’t Show You | MotorTrend

The fact that Cyberbeast can compete neck to neck with 911 is more than enough for me. We can sit and split hairs on 1-2 seconds all day long. At this close competition, it’s less about performance and more about weight/traction. Probably Tesla tested with better tires and less weight in second...
  2. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Thanks for setting the record straight @Crissa. Appreciate it always!
  3. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

As other members and I said multiple times, please keep roadtrip stats out of the equation. 100% roadtrip usage 365 days a year is minority. Statistics are calculated based on the common usage, and not based on 3.5 Standard deviations above or below the median of the Bell curve. Majority of the...
  4. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Sorry this thread derailed into a completely different topic, but one last comment to set the record straight. Public charging with combined range: Home charging with combined rage:
  5. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

This hypothesis is not true for CT users my friend. Do you think most of the people who have $100k to buy a Cybertruck don’t have a home charging facility? You are taking peak public charging usage with a EV range of a highway speed and comparing with gas truck that gives 20 mpg. Please get out...
  6. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

But you are doing worst case scenario charging for CT and ideal case gas consumption for ICE trucks. Consider city driving scenario with gas guzzling trucks and home charging for CT. You’ll get a completely different picture.
  7. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

This is the reality as of today in the area I live. No wonder we have so many Teslas in CA. Based on what Cybertruck owners have reported, it's more than 2 miles PER kWhr but let's go with very conservative number. Here you go - BTW, we are only talking about roadtrips. The majority of gas...
  8. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Yeah right! Conveniently said $3 per gallon to do the math. Please visit CA sometime to understand the reality. Even with that number CT is $15 cheaper than F150, and don’t forget that you are having a luxury driving experience with sports car acceleration at that cost. I still can’t believe I’m...
  9. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

lol! Indeed it should be flat in a parallel universe where driving F150 gas is cheaper than an EV.
  10. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

How can an EV cost more $$ per mile than a gas guzzler F150? Is this the heights of Trolling Cybertruck? I’m sure now someone will share some made up numbers and statistics to back up this claim. We might as well prove that earth is flat. :ROFLMAO:
  11. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

I’m glad we agree on few things. I understand your perspective on the reason behind why some of these automative changes are happening. I was merely pointing out that Tesla is not playing by the rules to dominate traditional truck market. So, it’s not straightforward to compare feature by...
  12. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Exactly! You summarized it really well. If you look at the current trend of users buying CT, it’s all over the place - celebrities, techies, ranch owners, business owners, traditional truck owners, retired people, adventurers - it’s wild range. We don’t know how to categorize this segment, so we...
  13. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

I definitely understand that this thread is about the features you listed and how these features make Silverado standout really well compared to CT. I’m not misleading. Please convince me how any of the new Silverado features is a technological breakthrough and engineering marvel. People keep...
  14. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

What Silverado did is the elementary school brute force method of slapping in more battery, adding 2000 lbs of extra weight. Of course payload capacity will be low. It’s not because they are trying to be on the cautious side, and it’s not a small issue. Are we really that naive to think that...
  15. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Well, even if we say those 4-5 features are blowing away Cybertruck, we should know that Tesla made a deliberate choice to not add more battery or HUD or pass-through window. I give Silverado 10/10 for the last feature. We can only speculate why Tesla made those choices. If Silverado was in the...
  16. Back-and-forth between Cybertruck (tri-motor) and R1T (quad-motor)

Got it! Thanks for the clarification. I hope CT gets the same tech in the next iteration. It'll make off-roading a lot better.
  17. Back-and-forth between Cybertruck (tri-motor) and R1T (quad-motor)

Really? I remember someone in this forum saying Rivian has electronically detachable sway bars. I didn’t fact check.
  18. Cybertruck AWD vs. Rivian R1S Performance Max Pack -- My Owner's Comparison Review

Great comparison! Thanks for sharing. I would love to see a similar comparison between CT and R1T.
  19. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Discussion is fine, but saying Silverado is better because you think so doesn’t make it better for everyone. People have different preferences. Depending on what parameters you use, CT might be better for someone or Silverado might be better for someone else. This thread title clearly says...
  20. Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Remember, Tesla had an option to put higher battery but they consciously didn’t do it. I trust those engineers to be smarter than me when it comes to making these very key decisions. I don’t understand why OP and some other folks in this thread are trying so desperately to prove CT to be the...
