    So looking it up, there's a 2,300 lb weight difference with the edge(4500) and the ct(6800). Side tests are tested with a ~3K lbs dummy (regardless of class). Head on crashes are tested @ 35mph to an immovable object. neat.

    The top piece is, and it's "clipped" into the bottom sill of the door opening. There is no anti-intrusion bar in the door to prevent this exact scenario, unfortunately. Tow truck picture w shadows helps to show it more. It's in there probably to the seats.
