  1. CYBERBEAST review from longtime Tesla owner

I saw the Cybertruck in person at a Tesla service center this weekend. I was able to crawl all over it, sit in it, check out the Frunk and the Trunk, and TBH I wonder how many people will buy the Cybertruck 2 years from now when it no longer is "different - what is that" kind of vehicle. I...
  2. 10,000+ Miles Driving a Cybertruck – Things learned: range, great sound and full love/hate list after 10k miles

Gosh dang it. $465/mo for insurance. Wow. Having a reservation since Nov 2019 for the 500 mile range Cybertruck, it is more and more disappointing to hear/see the low range of the CT. Also disappointing to "hear" the road noise complaints. I currently drive a Ford Lightning, while...
  3. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

Good point. Ford doesn't get enough credit for beating the Cybertruck to market by 2 years....and with 320 miles of range, and based on actual owner reviews the truck has been very well received. Gen 2 of the Lightning, especially if Ford can find a way to build it and sell it for about...
  4. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

I don't mind paying up to about $85,000 for the Cybertruck, with options, plus the locked in FSD price I have. But IMO the demand for $100,000+ vehicles is very finite. I know a lot of people that own their own businesses, do very well, can afford the price, but they don't want to pay that...
  5. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

If you don't already own the Airstream, hell, buy an RV. You will get better range :ROFLMAO: Seriously though, the Cybertruck is a cool, hi-tech vehicle, but it is not one size fits all. Most likely if you need to tow more than 40-50 miles, the best solution is an ICE truck. You can get a...
  6. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

Understood. Good plan, make it $100,000 instead of $69,000 and make it 200 miles of range instead of 500 miles. They teach that at Stanford?
  7. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

So the MBAs (which I am not sure Tesla even has) said: Announce the Cybertruck, promise a LR long range of 500 miles with 3 motors for $69,000 but when we come out with the vehicle, after several years of delays, let's price the longest range at $79,000, only give it 2 motors and 254 miles of...
  8. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

I have had EVs for years now, so I get the whole charging curve and the sweet spot. The issue is MANY people don't want to do the mental gymnastics of SoC, %, kWhs, spreadsheet, graphs, etc. And some just can't figure it out, and they don't have a World Rally Car co-pilot with an iPad...
  9. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

I own quite a bit of $TSLA and am cheering for Tesla, however, it is disappointing to have reserved a 500 mile variant of the Cybertruck in November 2019, and now 4+ years later we find the best the brand new, super high tech Cybertruck can do is 254 miles from 100% to 0% in terms of range. It...
  10. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

Aaah, long charge times will not be great, but that is more of a nuisance, as opposed to trying to make it across the middle of Pennsylvania going North and South and the Charging stations are 220 miles apart. Sigh.
  11. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

180 miles? Yikes. When reserving the 500 mile range variant Cybertruck in November 2019, I would have never guessed over 4 years later we would be talking under 200 miles for a typical charger to charger trip. Grrrrr.
  12. Cybertruck Highway Range Test (Dual-Motor AWD) -- Run Until Battery Empty (by Out Of Spec)

This is TERRIBLE news. That is awful range. That is going from 100% to 0% and all you get is 254 miles of range? If you go from 90% to 20% what are going to be able to travel? 200 miles. So disappointing.
