  1. Why the ONE FINGER salute for the Cybertruck?? Top 10 reasons for the hate!

Most older folks (60+) have no idea what it is. I was in the pro shop at the public golf course renewing my annual membership and this guy who must have been 80 came in asking the manager about the tank with no door handles parked in the lot. Not wanting to assume, I asked him some questions...
  2. Tax Credits

The Foundation Series - AWD or Beast - does appear to qualify for a $7,500 Federal tax credit.... ...if you're purchasing it for business use. https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/commercial-clean-vehicle-credit This is the workaround that companies use to provide a $7,500 EV credit on...
  3. Early delivery of Foundation Series Cybertruck now available to long-term verified TSLA shareholder!

Pretty sure it's still going. I submitted docs on 3/25 and nothing for two months. Then I received an email to configure from LTS on 5/30. Configured on 5/31, VIN on 6/4 and picked up truck on 6/10. The two months of nothingness were unnerving but they came through. BTW, I had a Nov 2023...
  4. So I broke my trucky -- bent rear quarter body panel

All of these panel bends look like repairs for the Cyberhammer. Just pound it straight?
  5. Cybertruck Spare Tire + Change Tool Kit Available Now in Official Tesla Shop

I placed an order last night but, curiously, can't get a service appointment for "installation" until mid-July. When I ordered a winter wheel/tire set for my Model S from Tesla it didn't take that long and they actually mounted all four wheels onto my car. In this case I think they just drop...
  6. PowerShare Mobile Connector (Gen 3) -- Discussion

Thanks for starting this thread. I've charged my CT with a Tesla UWC without issue and a Gen 2 mobile charger plugged into a NEMA 14-50 at our other house. I was trying to figure out the differences between the mobile charger included with the truck and the Gen2 mobile charger, of which I have...
  7. Dual Motor AWD Cybertruck is insanly fast

There is always a faster vehicle. I traded in a Model S Plaid for...an AWD Cybertruck. But what about the mythical 2.6 second 0-60mph Cyberbeast? It would still be quite a few ticks slower than the Model S Plaid which, in and of itself, is all but useless power on public roads. Sure, you...
  8. Once you order, is it possible to get delivery faster than estimated date?

If you ordered the spec Tesla has been building - AWD white interior with all terrain wheels/tires - then yes, it can be available earlier, much earlier. I had a July-Sept est after placing my order on 5/31. Picked up my truck on 6/10. Had my VIN a few days earlier, thinking it was 6/4...
  9. Does NJ really have no deliveries in over two months?

    Ordered 5/31 Delivery 6/10 AWD Lawrenceville/Princeton
  10. Delivery of Cybertrucks to the Northeast on Hold

I've heard the same from my local Tesla rep when I picked up my CT last week - another automaker has vehicles backed up since they aren't selling on lots and dealers don't want more of them. Rail lines being what they are, stuck trains delay everything. I'm glad I got in my CT AWD before the...
  11. Dual Motor AWD Cybertruck is insanly fast

I traded in a Model S Plaid for an AWD Cybertruck. My butt accelerometer says the Model S in sport mode pulls similarly to the AWD Cybertruck in Standard mode. Now the S in Plaid mode? Well, nothing matched up but Plaid mode made the vehicle very twitchy/hypersensitive to throttle inputs and...
  12. Configuration to VIN, four days?! (NJ)

I can now update and close this out as I picked up my truck yesterday (it's awesome). Tested a Supercharger this afternoon and had a nice 20+ min conversation with a local police officer who pulled in next to me wanting to see the truck. Let her sit in the truck, take pictures, talked about...
  13. Rivian R1T Refresh (Gen 2) Dethrones CyberBeast? 0-60 in 2.5s

The new quad motor R1 isn't available and may not be available this year. If you look at Rivian's cash position, needs to ramp PPE for R2 and expanding working capital due to more SKU's = more parts variants that means they may not have enough cash left to make it to early/mid 2025. Moving...
  14. I had no choice! I had to cancel my Cybertruck order today.

I think the best vehicle for those worried about range without towing is... ....a diesel Jetta. Seriously. Is anyone surprised a pickup truck isn't as aerodynamic or efficient with energy as a Model S, one of the most aerodynamic vehicles on the road? You really shouldn't be surprised. As...
  15. Rivian R1T Refresh (Gen 2) Dethrones CyberBeast? 0-60 in 2.5s

Try and buy one, we'll hold dinner for you.
  16. Rivian R1T Refresh (Gen 2) Dethrones CyberBeast? 0-60 in 2.5s

The Plaid powertrain exists. 1,020hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque available since 2021.
  17. Rivian R1T Refresh (Gen 2) Dethrones CyberBeast? 0-60 in 2.5s

Not sure it matters. The new R1 quad doesn't exist yet and with Rivian hemorrhaging cash there is a chance it never exists. With the Rivian factory shutdown, which feels like it was longer than planned, this quarter the losses will be epic. They had 4-5 quarters of cash at the old burn rate...
  18. Configuration to VIN, four days?! (NJ)

Update, got a call saying I should not have been able to schedule for Friday as no slots are open. Pushed back to Monday dragging out my timeline to 10 days from initial configuration email to delivery if it happens then.
  19. CyberBeast Delivered and a couple of questions

Can always reset the breaker, if you haven't already, and see if it kick-starts it. Did you adjust the charging amperage in the truck, charger or both? I think given the error you want to try changing the charger first to limit at a lower amperage and see what happens.
  20. Help please: order updated from core to cyber wheels

Tesla is redesigning the wheel covers for the all-terrain tires. Yes, they should share some/more info. But they never do until something is final and launched. I wouldn't be surprised if they looked more similar to the core wheel covers which would be a parallel approach to what has been...
