Yeah, that's just for things staining the metal specifically, such as rust or water spots.
But if it's grease, you'll want to use a degreaser;
If it's paint you'd want to use something that can break it up or solve it;
if it's salt you'd want to dissolve it in water;
If it's mud, sand, or even...
The citric acid stuff left a film and made fingerprints worse! And streaking. Bottle of isopropyl and a microfiber and you're golden on the road. Seriously.

yeah that "should" work but I tried 10 or so applications and the bronze spot didn't go away. I believe the soft buffing pad plus spray bkf (or citrisurf, it's pretty equivalent and I have used both) will make quick work of it though.
