  1. First Cybertruck Swing Arm Spare Tire Carrier (by Wilco Offroad)!!

On a 35” tire I think even offset it will cross the midline of the truck and block the camera. as for the license plate, I’m pretty sure in PA it’s legal to block the plate with a rear cargo carrier that’s in use but not when not in use. So a bike rack with bikes in it is ok but an empty rack...
  2. Differences in the Updated Order agreement.

I'm sure it's included and maybe it's part of the 20k foundation series. I would prefer it if they put in writing in the formal agreement all of what you are getting since it the lack does give them some leeway to maybe swap things around but I don't have any reason to worry at this point. On...
  3. Maybe we were lied to. Cybertruck design not polarizing. Most regular people love it.

This is definitely true. When I ordered it over my wife's objections she mentioned that I ordered it in a family text chain and I was pretty roundly made fun of for ordering the ugly truck. Then my father-in-law saw it at the auto show. He's a pretty conservative guy when it comes to style and...
  4. Maybe we were lied to. Cybertruck design not polarizing. Most regular people love it.

There is definitely something to the notion that people are less likely to tell you to your face that your truck is ugly than to write that online. However, given all the wonderment we see about the truck on sentry mode it's not all that. People are genuinely intrigued by it and that's before...
  5. Production rate theory

That seems about right. Given the recent uptick in daily VIN assignments, can you redo your table predicting time to delivering the December and January orders (conservative estimate without further ramp, just at current production rate)? That would be presumably a lot more optimistic than the...
  6. Low hitch receiver weight limit for bike racks in manual

That looks nice but it shouldn't be necessary on a vehicle that comes from the factory with a Class IV hitch.
  7. Low hitch receiver weight limit for bike racks in manual

I understand the concept of torque and lever arms and cantilevered loads. It’s not as though a trailered load can’t put high instantaneous forces on the tongue when you go through a dip or hit a bump. I don’t see how they get to 160 lb limit. I’m hoping it’s just like @PistolPeteCT said and it’s...
  8. Low hitch receiver weight limit for bike racks in manual

While waiting for my truck I have been browsing the owner’s manual now that it is live on Tesla’s site and I noticed this section about carrying hitch mounted accessories: The hitch receiver is designed to support vertical loads up to 160 lb (72 kg). When carrying bicycles, skis, or other items...
  9. Elon addresses Cybertruck door gap seen in MKBHD review

I’m failing to understand the criticism of MKBHD in this. He cited a real and significant problem and Elon acknowledged it and said it’s an easy fix and is being addressed at the factory. The rest of the video was really pretty positive and the main negative of the truck he cited was all the...
  10. Has anyone tried to polish the stainless steel to a mirror finish?

Given the hardness of the stainless I bet it would take a lot of elbow grease to get a high gloss surface and if you managed it the glare would probably make the truck a hazard on the road both to you and others. I would think it could be achieved, though, if someone really wanted to.
  11. Center hub cover with Tesla logo - 3D Printed

I like it, but it will be the only Tesla logs on the whole truck. Maybe do ones with the triangle CT logo, that would be sweet!
  12. Kuat Bike Hitch Rack installed photos + mountain bike fully fit laying down in bed

I hope they make FSD/autopilot on CT utilize the side view cameras more than rear view, just like a human driver has to given the blocked rear view. Then it won’t matter if you have a rack or trailer there. Given that, I hope there is a way in a future release to just display the two side view...
  13. First song / music list you'll blast upon delivery of Cybertruck?

Funny, I have also started a first ride playlist, leaning heavily towards belter ballads but how could I start with anything other than Fast Car by Tracy Chapman (with the Luke Combs version also making an appearance further down the playlist). I may need to figure out a long drive home. I keep...
  14. Unplugged Performance Intro

Excited to see what you all do with the CT. Is there any hope of squeezing a front winch into that front bumper or, of not, adding a front hitch receiver (normally hidden behind an aero cover) and wiring harness that someone could drop a winch into when needed? The latter would probably be the...
  15. 12/8 CyberBeast waiting room

I actually went the opposite direction and recently changed my order from AWD to beast. I initially ordered the AWD largely because of FOMO and the hope that I could get one early in production just as the ramp was happening. Clearly that hasn’t happened and no reason to think I’d get a VIN let...
  16. Vault Bed Heat Pump Build (Heating & Cooling) 🥵🥶

Awesome, thanks for that. I had downloaded the manual but didn’t browse through it yet. Will definitely want to be familiar with how to get in there and pop it open before locking myself in there.
  17. Vault Bed Heat Pump Build (Heating & Cooling) 🥵🥶

I absolutely love the lexan hinged insert idea. I am still waiting on my truck but unless there is an interior tailgate release that no one has mentioned, I’d be insanely nervous locking myself in the vault knowing that either phone or truck battery could die. A hinging panel that could be...
  18. Vault Cargo Bins for Cybertruck (New Tesla Accessory)

I think the side walls of the bed are angled and my guess is they made all the bins the same to match the bed wall angle. If they had designed the three so the middle one was bigger you’d have more space but couldn’t nest them or swap them around. I think the wasted space is probably worth the...
  19. [Update: NOT VALET] owner crashes Cybertruck at Beverly Hills Hotel 🤦🏻‍♂️

at 2 am…and especially when that concrete wall is a decent distance off the road. I’d bet it was alcohol AND something else. Maybe the valet story was just to buy the owner enough time to sober up before talking to the police.
