Article: Tesla Giga Texas on Track to Launch Production & Deliveries This Year

There will be model Y production from Giga Texas this year? maybe. CT? definitely not why do i say that, lets look at two pieces of evidence. 1. Model Y production lines are figured out, the bugs worked out and they know what it takes to make them (equipment wise). So it's easier to replicate...

Cybertruck Spotted in NYC! [Street Video Added]

there are actually 2 of them (the other is not visible in this pic, but you can see them in the pic from when it was at Giga Texas). My best guess is 5th wheel attachment point.

I often wonder if Elon trolls this forum just to see what we speculate about

Does anyone else hope the funky hubcaps / wheel covers aren't in the final design?

yeah how did that work out for Elon on reveal night 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Total side note on this pic.....anyone notice they covered the SS with moving blankets before Franz threw the ball at it? Does not exactly scream tough lol

Cybertruck delayed; writing is on the wall.

Love the optimism, but reality is we will be lucky to see any CT roll off the line this year, even then those will be production prototypes.

Cybertruck delayed; writing is on the wall.

Except you can't compare the two. China has way different labor laws, safety standards for labor, and for building codes/construction. There is also no unions. So they can build things much quicker there. It took them 8 months from ground breaking to production. They broke ground on giga texas...

Does anyone else hope the funky hubcaps / wheel covers aren't in the final design?

Considering they offer different wheel options on the other tesla vehicles, i can't see the CT being any different in this regard. You also have to remember the tires on the CT prototype are not street legal, they say on the sidewalls for offroad use only.

    Fiery deaths?

Just FYI https://www.yahoo.com/autos/tesla-fire-texas-crash-not-234300789.html A crash and subsequent fire of a Tesla Model S this past weekend quickly caught attention online for its "four-hour" blaze, but that's not exactly what happened, the fire chief told Car and Driver today. The...

    Double stacked battery pack

Were assuming they will still go with the double stack pack. With the 4680 cells a single layer pack could do it.

What is this in the CyberTruck bed?

Interesting, just enhances my belief this is not the truck from the reveal night, or it's been rebuilt. Those circles do not exist on the revel truck, and i just noticed another anomaly, there are two slots running up the side of the bed, on the revel truck there is only 1.

New Tesla Supercharger in Texas Includes Spaces (Probably) For Cybertruck

I am with Crissa on this one. If you look at the space, but more importantly the black and white painted stop in the back of the stall, you can clearly see the model 3 is way over to one side. No angle is going to show that much of the backstop. that car is clearly NOT in the middle of the space

    Fiery deaths?

Being a former firefighter i can tell you this would not have been an easy fire to put out. Remember the battery is a sealed unit under the car, very inaccessible to put water/foam/retardant into. Once the batteries inside the pack started to overheat each other without cooling you would have a...

What is this in the CyberTruck bed?

I have a theory as to what the slots on the sides are. Look at where they are in relation to the triangle opening "wings" for storage. i think there may be shelves that slide up and own on rails inside those compartments. The slots you see are covers to cover the bolts or nuts that hold the...

📸 Cybertruck Spotted at Giga Texas Plant! + Interior Look with Yoke Steering Wheel and Performance Pedals!

its not the one from reveal night. I think its the same he drove with Jay leno, reason i say that is the reveal night prototype had a marble dash, the jay leno one had an all white dash, like this one. Now it's possible they swapped dashboards, but why would you?

    Cybertruck Models Acceleration Comparison Simulator

To me, I am going to be using a truck to be a truck, not a sports car. Yes acceleration is nice, but the dual motor I ordered seems the best combo of price/performance.

📸 Cybertruck Spotted at Giga Texas Plant! + Interior Look with Yoke Steering Wheel and Performance Pedals!

This looks exactly like the same prototype he drove around with jay Leno, not the latest prototype. I gotta say, it looks dang good with some mud on the tires and seems right at home on the construction site.

GM announces the Chevy Silverado EV: 400 miles of range with Ultium battery techCHEVROLET CONFIRMS THE FIRST-EVER ELECTRIC SILVERADO FULL-SIZE TRUCK

Bear in mind, the "big 3" have been the only successful American car companies in the last 100 years. no others have survived more than a couple of years at best. Until Tesla, but even they are still a very young car company by many standards. They may be slow to change what has worked for...
