  1. Giga Austin Production Capacity (Poll)

Until we know if the global chip shortage will still affect Tesla in Q3 2022, and if there might be any other supply shortages (batteries?), it will be impossible to predict potential production numbers. Thus I consider the poll a waste of time at this time.
  2. Tesla Black Box?

The idea of a crash/fire resistant box for the data recorder has merit. If one bothers to read the actual info released about the car instead of the BS put forth by idiots, they would learn that the vehicle did NOT have FSD (owner did NOT purchase the option) and only basic driver assist...
  3. OMG!! German newspaper encourages people to literally bet against Tesla (TSLA) in insane article

I hope the germans who follow the advice in the mentioned article lose their proverbial shirt. :devilish: Disclaimer: I own TSLA stock.

I hope you do. There are probably many here that will be very interested to see images of an actual production CT in the hands of a reservation holder. (y)
  5. VIDEO - Tesla Cybertruck TeraFactory Site Construction Is Well Underway

Pure speculation, but I expect that to happen eventually - after the factory is fully operational.
  6. China Cybertruck owner-update Winter testing, will we drive CT to go mountain climbing in winter or snow season Be sure to click on the video

The thing to be aware of is the Cyberlandr team is currently raising money via pre-orders to fund the development of their manufacturing plant. All they really have at this point is an idea, concept video, and a proof of general concept very rough prototype. While I think the concept is...

I agree with @Cyberman and I think his post was overdue. Waiting for something we really want is hard, and the longer we wait, the more frustrated we can get. While I think I am more patient than some (at least I believe so), the looooonnng wait to finalize our orders, or receive any official...
  8. Cybertruck delayed; writing is on the wall.

Personally, I think almost all new or refreshed Tesla vehicles are delayed due to battery cell constraints. Only when the battery cell manufacturing facilities at Gigas Texas & Shanghai are ramped up, along with Panasonic at Giga Nevada figuring out how to make 4680s at scale, will we start to...
  9. When do you think we will hear the production specs of the Cybertruck?

Elon has suggested an update on CT will be released this quarter. When do you think that will happen? Knowing "Elon time", my guess is late June 2021 or later.
  10. Rumor: There will be no single motor Cybertruck! RWD model will be dual motor.

BS speculation and rumors always get wildly blown out of proportion and are frequently false. Only when Tesla releases full specs of the production CT versions will we have real facts to discuss. Until then we only have speculation and BS.
  11. Toyota Developing Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine

Toyota management = a bunch of fools that refuse to realize ICE is a dead end.
  12. Tesla branded as ‘arrogant’ in China as pressure mounts on the electric car maker

You apparently missed the fact the data was from 30 minutes before the crash up to and including the crash event. The following image from The third column is speed in km/h; 5th column is brake pressure in bar. As can be seen in the data, the brakes were NOT applied until about 4...
  13. When Do We Start Seeing Some Weird EV Designs?

There are those who think the Cybertruck is a "weird design" or ugly. Fortunately for Tesla there are also those of us who like the design enough to reserve one. Hopefully the production design of the CT will be close enough to the prototype that we won't want to cancel our reservations.
  14. Will Dual Motor Cybertruck Have 4680 Cells?

As battery cell manufacturing will be part of Giga Texas, it is most likely that all CTs will be powered by 4680 cells. The main difference in the battery packs of the 3 variants will be the number of cells per pack.
  15. Consumer Interest in Tesla Cybertruck Stronger Than GMC Hummer EV and F-150 EV, According to Study

I like to think of the results as: "Create a better design and people will want it."
  16. Will the Cybertruck fit in automated Car Washes?

Hey, a brushed steel look might be good. ;) Actually as Elon has hinted that the production version could be up to 3% smaller than the prototype, it should fit car washes and most garages.
  17. Elon Musk suggests Cybertruck is not happening this year

You could be right, but my bet is second half of 2022 for initial CT deliveries. The speed that Giga Texas is being built makes me think the CT portion of the factory will see structure completion by Q4 2021 and initial CT production in early 2022. In any event I will probably be waiting at...
  18. Connectivity to make your Tesla work? You already bought the car once, basically now have to pay to make the car radio work?

Premium connectivity is for me (and I believe many owners) totally unnecessary. The radio works without it, and basically it only provides internet access when away from wifi connectivity. You will still need wifi connectivity to receive software updates. As to other potential upgrades, those...
  19. Elon Musk says Starlink internet service should be ‘fully mobile’ by the end of this year

What has not been mentioned is the need for a more mobile friendly Starlink antenna for RVs and yachts. In my opinion the current generation of the Starlink dish, while great for fixed locations, is not suitable for applications where the dish would be mounted to a vehicle in motion. For RVs...
  20. When to install the garage charger for your CT

I agree that a limit of 48 amps can be too slow for some owners. Level 2 charging is always limited by what the charger in the vehicle can handle. Hopefully Tesla will have a charger in the CT that can handle 70+ amps. But I doubt it based on what they are using in their other vehicles.
