Reaching the bed from the side of the truck

Same as I did on my Tundra, step on the wheel spokes and keep things near the tailgate

All Season Tires (Pirelli Scorpion AS) + 20" Inch Core Wheels + Wheel Covers Are Here! -- My Real World Range / Consumption Data 📊

I'm closer to 470 average over 8700 miles. But I off-road a LOT and when I road trip I often have a bike on the back... at 85 MPH. I'm not nice to this truck.

Report: Cybertruck Crashes, Catches Fire, Driver Dead (Houston, TX)

Hadn't really thought about the whole kid door side of things. So in non-Teslas if you leave your kid doors on by mistake the rear passengers are trapped. Regardless, no evidence the driver was even conscious after the accident in this case. My bet is very high speeds and alcohol were involved

Report: Cybertruck Crashes, Catches Fire, Driver Dead (Houston, TX)

Would be nice if the rear emergency release was easier to reach. Most passengers have no clue even where to dig.

100% Charged for 150 mi?? (UPDATED)

Put the address of the airport into the nav computer. That's the only reliable way to know regardless. The number at the top of the screen just shows you rated range. If it's straight up a mountain to get there it's not going to help.

Don't damage your CT AWD tires... replacements difficult to find

You can get them from Tesla Service for $2,200, I had half a set replaced just a couple weeks ago. You can also pick them up on eBay for about $2,000 - $3,000. I think that's my game plan.

    Moving bed mounted tie downs

Four movable ones on the floor of the bed, 2 that go on the L-Track, and four in the walls of the truck permanently (I think)

    Moving bed mounted tie downs

Made a quick video showing how to relocate the bed mounted tie downs which come on the FS.

For Those Waiting for Non-FS Cybertrucks -- Here's the Flip Side to Consider

Hmm. So there is a separate 'Off Road' app now. I'm not really sure if that means anything or not. Would be super easy for them to just have "Off Road Mode" be very basic for some owners. Not saying they will one way or the other, but it would be very easy to just turn the app off. All...

For Those Waiting for Non-FS Cybertrucks -- Here's the Flip Side to Consider

Do you want your truck soon? Get the FS. Pretty clear no non-FS in 2024 and solid chance there is an instant 6 month backlog on non-FS in 2025. The goodie bundle is not a tremendous value, but it's not horrible or just flat out 'dealer markup' either.

7796 mile road trip about to begin. Camping the entire trip!

Looks like a sweet setup. Those Tesla vault storage bins looking sweet for tucking under the tent.

Super happy with it so far. Been using the crap out of it.

I see so much hate for the CyberTruck on the internet, thought I'd do a simple poll.

"On the internet": 🖕🤓🖕🤩🖕🤩🖕🤓🖕 IRL: 🤘😮🤩🤩😍😚🥳🤯🖕🤓😲 In the real world most people don't give a damn about the politics around it and are mostly just fascinated by it. There is always that one guy, but 99 out of 100 people are excited to see it. It's the craziest thing ever seeing people react to it...

    Tonneau cover gap misaligned

You can calibrate the cover if you go into service mode but it only helps so much. Mine got so bad I took it into the Service Center... was a 24 hour fix though.

Tesla order invite now says: “We expect to deliver only the foundation series through late 2024”

Lots of people stretching to hit $80k and $100k is a lot less palatable. It's a 25% increase in cost, and an even bigger increase in payments. For example if you had $20k down, you'd finance $80k versus $60k, a 33% increase in payments. If it does qualify for the incentive, that makes it an...

Aeroflap Removal Machine (CyberTent Secret Mod)

They didn't even say anything, I probably wouldn't have noticed except I'd adjusted and removed the flap previously. I am super curious if newer trucks come with this by default.

Protip: Tailgate open button is also a bed light on/off switch!

Yeah, when I tried out this tip, it didn't work because I had the lights set to "off" in the app. Also doesn't work if the truck is in Tent Mode.
