Already have one. 2015 F-150 with a V-8. It doesn't even have the larger fuel tank and has a 500 mile range.

Poll: What aspect of CT Are you Unhappy With

I will admit the performance and capabilities are insane. A 60% increase in the advertised price? I just can't justify it. By the time you add the spare tire, necessary for me, and the range extender the price is closer to 100k for the AWD and you loose a lot of your cargo space.

    Keep the order or Cancel

I am hanging on to mine for now, it will be about a year, most likely less at the new prices. Hopefully something changes and I will be able to afford it. But as it stands I will probably buy another ICE truck. The poll needs a wait and see vote.

Its impressive, and disappointing at the same time. $80,000 and wont go the range I need, broke the bank and wont do what I need.

172 KWH / 500 miles range based on forbidden video

The F-150 lightning gets 2miles/kwh, or 500wh/mile. Cybertruck should be in that range as it is the same size, probably a little better. 500 miles of range at 500wh/mile would require a 250kwh battery pack Rivian R1T epa reports 480wh/mile at that rate it would need a 240kwh battery pack

I think it thinks it will be continuing to be doing whatever it was doing before it stopped to charge.

172 KWH / 500 miles range based on forbidden video

From one of the pictures from another thread it displayed the charge rate at 77kw, and that it was getting 75miles per hour which gives an estimated energy consumption of 1027wh/mile both of those displayed values continually update so is independent of the charge curve. The F-150 lightning and...

172 KWH / 500 miles range based on forbidden video

I poked the numbers and here is what I get. 75 miles per hour at a rate of 77kw gives 1.027kwh/mile double the anticipated, more like it was towing. 16 miles was estimated to take 6% for a total of 16.432kwh converting to 100% of the battery gives 257kwh total battery pack. Under normal...

I poked the numbers and here is what I get. If it got covered already I apologize I didn't want to read 14 pages of posts. 75 miles per hour at a rate of 77kw gives 1.027kwh/mile double the anticipated, more like it was towing. 16 miles was estimated to take 6% for a total of 16.432kwh...

Cybertruck offroad tested on mud trails

@HaulingAss /sarcasm to 11 Who doesn't like white knuckling two fisting a steering wheel at 55mph on the highway hoping that an odd twitch or gust, or passing car doesn't send you tumbling into the ditch bundled up in the barbed wire fence between you and it. By the end of the 50 mile drive...

Cybertruck offroad tested on mud trails

Seriously doubt it, their is less to go wrong with an electric motor that over-revs than an ICE engine. They claimed to have driven it on a level 4 trail. That is comparable to what we have done with our F-150 so entirely reasonable. just a side note that is a brushed dc motor, the...

Cybertruck offroad tested on mud trails

https://www.cruisemoab.com/trail-ratings/ What I can see there is 2-3 due to being wet but that is just what is visible I have no idea what the rest of the trail looks like. I have done 1 or 2 10's with ugly, it still shows the mementos.

I'm going to rent a Model 3. Any suggestions?

Really? I was able to rent a gas car no problems, their policy of not accepting ATM's was only for electrics. Not to mention it was pre-paid via a corporate credit card. The past 20 years I haven't needed one even with traveling from time to time. We don't consider having a credit card...

I'm going to rent a Model 3. Any suggestions?

Dang it, Hertz wouldn't let me rent the Tesla. First round the pre-payment by my employer wasn't acceptable when I showed up because I did not have it in hand. Then wouldn't rent it to me when I changed the reservation to my card, which they still wouldn't use to rent the Tesla because it...
