Update: I left three flaps on and cut the smaller flap opposite the plug and then it went right in. Still snug but much easier.
I was also able to work with the short wire but it was really tricky. Lost it up inside the door a couple times.
Now I canāt decide if I should do the rear doors? I...
I was watching an install video and noticed their hole looks different than mine. See how the soft material is trimmed around the edges? Whoever did mine just cut an āXā in the material and tucked the flaps up inside around the edges making the fit much more snug. Should I trim those flaps? Or...
Iām wondering if itās because its pretty cold hereā¦ the plastic may shrink down in the cold and be less flexibleā¦ maybe if I leave the new lights in the truck overnight so they get to the same temperature as the truck, maybe that would help?
But even the stock lights are so tight, opening the...
Yeah Iāve been thinking more about how maybe I needed to finesse it more, and I was aware of the angle, but the new lights are taller so I just couldnāt get it to fit. Iāll take another look tomorrow. As far as wire slack though, I canāt even reach the release clip, thatās how little give the...
I just tried to install mine. The driver door light has absolutely no slack on the wires. Iām going to have to take the whole door panel off to install.
The existing holes are too small for the new lights. Does anyone else have this issue? Iām going to have to take a Dremel to them and make the...
Ok so, this is the horn sound Tesla always intended Cybertruck to have. Iām on board, even if upgrading means having disabled trumpets. Kinda makes for an interesting story... and a good trivia night question š
Hi Crissa,
Do you know if thereās any kind of online resource that we could read to confirm this statement? Many cars have aftermarket horns, I donāt know if theyāre legal or not, but it would be super helpful to read the official rules so I can better understand whatās going on here. Thanks!
ā¦yes?
Early Cybertrucks should get option to switch between the two horn options, since the part is already installed. Reward for being early adopters.
It is a bummer that thereās no going back. Why not let us go back if we want?
If I upgrade, then Iāll always have a part (the OG horn) inside my truck that is inoperable, and is just taking up space. Thatās weird to think about.
My windshield is full of tiny particles that seem to be embedded between the layers in the glass. I dont know how to best describe it. When the sun hits the windshield, it almost looks like thereās a layer of film thatās needs to be peeled off. Maybe itās a manufacturing defect? I dont want to...
Iāve been impressed with how well FSD performs in a city environment with so many variables to consider. It isnāt perfect yet, but neither is any human driver. Itāll be interesting to watch as the technology improves with time.
