Picked mine up today (RN115...VIN 043xxx)! Had about an hour ride home to get used to everything.
Thoroughly pleased...well done Tesla!
Now I need to search the forum for options on screen protectors and other accessories:cool:!
Keep in mind that while the gigafactory is ramping up production, the service center staffing has remained the same. This can create a bottleneck that will (hopefully temporarily) slow down deliveries.
Tesla is not like the legacy automakers with respect to model year changes. They integrate changes throughout the build year, rather than saving them up for the next model year.
For anyone looking at the Silverado/Sierra/Hummer EVs, read the fine print and/or talk to the sales people - their subscription rates are ~$50+ per month, once the trial period ends. To me, THAT is robbery, especially for what you get.
RN115 here, and I also received the invite to order.
I noticed that if you want to add FSD, it shows a cost of $8k. Wasn't this supposed to be $7k for those that placed a reservation so many years ago?
What am I missing here? To me, if you convert your reservation into an order and place the $1k down, then you need to follow through with the purchase. The verbiage clearly states that this deposit is non-refundable. People need to take responsibility for their actions.
Congrats on moving forward with your order!

The lack of autopilot/FSD at the present time makes sense to me. Remember that this is the first Tesla with 4WS and steer-by-wire. The auto-driving software will need to be revised to take advantage of these capabilities. I'm sure the issue is being worked and we will see this functionality...
This is an interesting way of looking at it. Essentially, you are saying that you only need to be able to afford one years' worth of payments. After a year, you could then sell it if it is a financial drain. The gamble here is that it holds enough value for you to make a profit at that point...
Personally, I don't think that anything we reservation holders say or do will change the current CT pricing. Pricing should come down eventually, but there are other variables to consider. Will the current EV tax credit/rebate still be around when some of us take delivery? Difficult to...
This post definitely strikes a nerve with me. My pockets are not that deep, and I have already lost a great deal of value on my Model 3 due to the recent pricing games.
We should revisit this when actual pricing and deliveries start. At that time, we may need to start a thread on "Now that...
