I remember Elon saying (think both was on X, or one might have been Q3 earnings call):
1. Cybertruck is already cash flow positive (think this was from the 24Q3 earnings call)
2. They need to get the cost of down (he was referring to retail price) - on X.
There's a bunch of options out there that I came across in doing some searching.
This is a set of stuff that looks interesting to me: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P8CSSCK/ref=sspa_dk_hqp_detail_aax_0?sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9ocXBfc2hhcmVk&th=1
Agree. I see a lot of 2024 models in inventory (Boston area), and they're gonna need to blow those out because any buyer who has a clue will want a 2025 for the $7500 POS tax rebate/credit.
Also agree, the demand for $80k+ vehicles is limited. There's only so many ppl who can afford it.
I do have a couple of bottles of Sprayway and only used it to clean up one section (and it worked well). I've wondered about putting the ceramic coating on it, primarily to deal with bird poop.
You've given me something to think about... :)
I've seen this: https://urander.com/products/cybertruck-pet-cover-for-dogs-cybertruck-pet-liner
I've also seen it from other sellers (think on Amazon and some other Tesla-focused retailers).
One of our Labs used to sometimes "go downstairs" (is what I called it lol) in my Model Y (and when I...
I thought these were interesting but it looks the jumpseats also require the tailgate cover in order to attach the jumpseats to the tailgate (when it's opened), is that correct?
Agree about the pricing, a lot of Cybertruck accessories need to be lowered by 25-50%, IMO.
You can also use velcro straps to attach things to the molle panel.
I have the vault divider and use velcro straps to attach a snow brush to it (that's it for now).
I recently bought what looks like the same pet seat cover, and it’s fantastic. Def recommend (we have two English Labs).
All of the dirt stays in the seat cover since it’s fully sealed, the bottom is I think a hard plastic so it gives a solid flat surface for the dogs, and the fact it folds up...
Good to know. I was wondering if they knew about it but didn’t want to delay the release and planned to issue a redesigned fix for it.
I’m confident Tesla will fix it…it’s just a matter of how long it will take.
Anyone use the DIY Detail products to clean theirs?
I watched their YT video where they wash and ceramic coating a CT. Looks like good products…I’m thinking of getting their products to wash, de-iron, and ceramic coat it.
I saw this and thought it was cool, I’d have a good use for it for the truck and my motorcycles when at the racetrack…but $550?! Wtf.
I recently bought the battery operated Fantik air compressor from Costco for around $40. Worked great to add are to my tires when cold weather hit.
Just to add, yes, it’s terrible when there’s salt on the road. It just smears it all over. This is the single bad thing about the Cybertruck.
Honestly, I’m just shocked they didn’t test it in snow / salt areas during vehicle development…
Yeah, I can’t justify that price. And I can tell the two shops I contacted aren’t hurting for business because they never reached back out to ask if I wanted to purchase (let alone a discount).
I’m pretty sure he means installed.
DIY PPF prices I’ve seen are around $1500-1700.
I got two quotes for PPF and they came in at $7k (for PurePPF in satin black) and $9k (!!) for satin black (forget which PPF brand).
This is a good question: about PPF durability over time by brand.
Have you tried reaching out to Twraps to see if they have the same color in their PPF? I think they offer the DIY wrap with Avery Dennison PPF
