Maybe you've already figured this out, but picked up April 25, and on June 4th I received an email titled "Update: Your Powershare Home Backup Installation." It states Tesla will be sending a $2,500 voucher for equipment purchase. There is a link in the email to Tesla's Powershare Support page...
In Utah you do not have to have your Cybertruck listed on your insurance policy at time of purchase. A photo of your current insurance card will suffice.
The app will continue to ask for payment. Donāt worry about it. Just bring your cashiers check with you when you pick up your truck. This...
I donāt know how much it matters but I picked up in Pleasant Grove, UT and your (awesome) website says SLC. I believe I had requested SLC but they are only delivering Cybertrucks in Pleasant Grove at this point.
cgladue thanks for your work on this. Is there a way to send you a ābeerā š?
Near as I can tell you will be assigned a VIN when your truck is built in Austin, the order of which is at least loosely tied to your reservation # and configuration date.
āNormalā communications for Bobsi included a āTesla advisorā messaging him on his Tesla app while his truck was still in...
I found it on the lot. I donāt live very close but happened to be driving by. Or if theyāre open and you have a VIN and you can find Tesla advisor they will look it up for you.
Picked up my truck yesterday!! Surreal.
For the record, I never had a Delivery Advisor contact me. For whatever reason that process has a lot of room for optimizing.
With my truck my VIN was assigned the same day that the sticker on my truck states as the day of manufacture (4/10/24). Iām also in Utah, and yes they do have a lot of undelivered trucks for whatever reason with VINs from 3xxx up to 78xx (at least as of Monday). I went there looking for my VIN...
So I stopped in on our way back from St George this afternoon. My truck was in the same spot as Monday and looked the same (not detailed yet). I vacillated on bugging the reps inside, but we live a couple hours away, and I decided it probably wouldnāt hurt. Long story short, they were super nice...
I counted 14 in the āsecret lotsā and 19 in the service center lot. VINs all over the place, as low as 3xxx and up to 78xx. I donāt think I saw 7724, but my wife was patiently waiting while I ran around like a little kid counting trucks and reading VINs.
I did find mine!!! My VIN assignment date...
Can you give any hints where the secret lot is? Weāre going to be driving through this evening on the way to St George. Iām hoping to see a reason I need to get back soon :)
