Powered Frunk Confirmed! Video shows frunk's unpowered motor moved against its gearing

What makes you think its 12v and not 48v? Just legacy thinking or do you know something specific?

Child seat (front facing) install in Cybertruck -- first look photo

Anyone with kids buckling themselves is going to like this added height to the buckle. Current MY is a pain in the a$$.

8/29: Cybertrucks spotted heading towards Fremont + unloading videos + reverse sound + open frunk look!

Awfully suspicious that the video clip of the frunk opening or closing was only a 3 second clip that didn't capture if its powered.... must have figured no one would care and just hit stop :p

Why are we so crazy about the Cybertruck? Post your reason here

I'd add to that cracked windshields. Happens to me every few years. Hoping armored glass solves this.

Elon sends employees email on Cybertruck build quality: accuracy & tolerances must be in microns -- "Precision predicates perfectionism."

Personally I don't think the email is legit. Something about that last sentence and the word "perfectionism" seems unnatural to me but who knows. Makes for some fun banter while we wait.

Elon sends employees email on Cybertruck build quality: accuracy & tolerances must be in microns -- "Precision predicates perfectionism."

Just to let you know, you are a factor of 10 with that giant .004" gap. A calipers is not accurate enough for that level of precision (typically +/-.001) and you have to start looking at mircometers (the tool). Having measurement tools to measure to this level at a production scale is non...

Cybertruck wrapped like an ICE F-150 🧐 Frunk Open Look (No Tub Installed)

A few impressions I get... I never thought the CT frunk would be as large as F150. This does appear to be fairly small. Seems to go more with the idea of the overall length was made shorter and cab pushed forward a bit more? Based on no visible gas shock or actuator, what do we make of the...

Video: Cybertruck in low suspension mode @ light next to Highlander and followed by Model Y

I agree it definitely has angles that look better than others. I overall like it (took some time) but some angles do look pretty odd. I think maybe its not an Ambi-Turner?

Closeup Cybertruck BIW body in white shots from GFTX [7/14/23]

Good call! I saw that and it didn't click at all. I never thought spotting a hinge on a half built vehicle would get me so excited :ROFLMAO:.

Closeup Cybertruck BIW body in white shots from GFTX [7/14/23]

Would it be safe to assume the volume production line would be using an AGV/AMR style powered cart? This could be: -A manual build setup for low volume prior to the high volume line (as suggested above, and most likely scenario) -A bodied pulled offline and moved to a manual dolly cart for...

Summary of new Cybertruck info / details / features from past week (June 2023)

I didn't want this thread to turn into a price/range debate so I purposefully omitted "the big ones" and just focused on the other features.

Summary of new Cybertruck info / details / features from past week (June 2023)

Here was my thinking on the outlets: The door we saw hints that SOMETHING will be there. It seems like at minimum a 120V will be there. The size of that door looks small for multiple outlets. For that reason I put 240V and Pneumatic outlets as "unknown". Obviously that door could easily...

Added steer by wire now- thanks. Solar cell input? What is the source for that?

Good point- we have only seen the patent which doesn't hold much weight (no pun in intended).

Summary of new Cybertruck info / details / features from past week (June 2023)

After all the videos and leaks from the past week I am trying to get a summary of features and functions and group them into “likely, unlikely, and unknown” based on the hints we have. Obviously this is all speculation and nothing is final until it ships. ***italicized items added based on...
