Tesla released earnings today.
They mentioned the Model Y should start being produced in Giga Texas before year end.
They also said the SemiTruck won't start being built until 2022 (could mean spring, could mean fall)
No mention of the CyberTruck. Hmmm.
Sadly, I think you are going to be proven right.
When I ordered my CyberTruck at $69,000 I thought that would be a lot for a truck, but not crazy so it seemed like a fair price....happy to pay it.
Now, I think, by the time they actually deliver my Cybertruck, it will probably be $79,000. At...
I hear ya.
Regarding you getting a CyberTruck in 2022. That is highly unlikely.
Yes, some lucky souls will get one next year. But unless you have a early order #, and you live in the exact proper delivery zone, think more 2023. Building and delivering 75,000+ CyberTrucks in 2022 is my...
I think the 610 on the screen mock ups was a random #.
I will be delighted if they ever deliver me my 500 mile range CT. (I am not going to dream that it might really be 610 miles)
500 mile range for a large vehicle like the CT will be a great accomplishment in 2023.
Maybe in 2030 we can...
Tesla doesn't even know when the Cybertruck production at volume will start. This data is pulled out of someone's tailgate. (Although it is probably not that far off)
Cybertruck production, we hope, will start in the 1st quarter of 2022. Elon did not mention it during the last earnings call...
That is a pretty downer statement...but you might be pretty accurate.
We know for a fact that Elon said "we would have to get lucky to produce any CyberTrucks in 2021".
Translation: that will mean a trickle of production will start at some point in 2022. A trickle.
Translation2: I am not...
Tesla released an Earnings Report today. It mentions delivering the Tesla Semi in 2021. It mentions producing Model Ys at GigiTexas by the end of 2021. It does NOT mention the CyberTruck. At all. If the CyberTruck was going to start rolling off the line in Texas, it would have been...
For one thing, the profit margin on the Plaid Model S will be huge.
And that is fine, it will be a low volume car, intended for well heeled buyers.
On the other hand, produced at a much larger volume, the CT can be sold for less....will a much lower profit margin.
I have a friend waiting for his Long Range Model S (he switched from a Plaid because he didn't want to wait that long). I get the 2nd ride in it. His dog gets the first one. He was promised March delivery...but obviously that came and went.
Tesla might have a strong Q2 once they get Model...
Tesla delivered 184,800 vehicles in the first quarter of 2021
Tesla just reported first-quarter vehicle production and delivery numbers for 2021. In total, it delivered 184,800 vehicles and produced...
Hopefully the increase(s) will not be substantial.
If the Cybertruck price goes from $69,000 to $71,000 because of material cost inflation, that should not be a deal killer. I would think it will be absorbed without too much grumbling by buyers.
The question is, and had been, can Tesla...
I get the concern of ICE.
But ICE can keep you out of a car with door handles.
Currently if my F150 doors are frozen shut because of ICE, I have to chip the edges of the door frame before the door handle is going to work.
I acknowledge a good door handle can give you the comfort of yanking on...
