My truck has been a rattle box from day one as well. Tesla has been working on each area at a time based on a single visit. They finally found one of the rattles I have been complaining about, it was inside the dash, now waiting on parts, and another service visit. Creaking has been real bad...
I agree with this. The only rebuttal I have is, is that from a standpoint of having lots of experience in this field, I know what should and can be refined/fixed to improve for EVERYONE, but some might think things as they are, are just fine and that's ok as we all have different expectations...
Almosthuman, you are taking to 2 people who are or have been part of the professional aspect of the automotive world. I have had 1000's of hours in R&D, 1000's of hours on the dyno, 1000's of hours on the track.... I have built competition cars that have won multiple times. I have helped...
I COMPLETLY agree with you. There are a LOT of safety concerns and design flaws with this truck. I am used to different arrangements as I used to build custom cars for a living and have done lots of R&D for many companies. Tesla took the easy road to save a few bucks here and there, including...
VERY smart design, can't wait to see the sail panels, this is how Tesla should have done it in the first place, but along with everything else on this truck, cut cutting cost cutting.. Good job guys!!
my truck has all sorts of rattles.. service guy never hears it even when we are on a test drive even though it is making the sounds while we drive, they just put "unable to duplicate" super frustrating...
Count me in on a round steering wheel, the screen would be nice if it does not block the air vents, and in my opinion might be better if it was quite a bit wider and perhaps not quite as tall, which would eliminate the vent blocking issue.
Subscribing. It boggles my mind that Tesla in their infinite wisdom of cutting corners to save cost/pennies got rid of the digital rear view mirror, and the Model X style instrument cluster.. The prototype has both of these features... I believe it is a great business opportunity for someone to...
16000 it does suck, because I am a car guy, and I know my way around cars, trucks, race cars etc., and I own both the Beast and a Lightning, and it's really really sad to say that Tesla can learn a thing or two from Ford, mind you the Lightning is not perfect by any means, but I can say it's...
Same issue happening here as well, SA said they can only test up to 70mph not a mile over...so any noise or vibration above that I have to live with unless a smart board member figures it out and gives us a clue how to fix it.
Not sure either way, but my Beast has had numerous problems, I just got it back, and it will be going back again. Problems are below fixed and not fixed:
Defective drivers seat (got replaced)
Defective steering column (got replaced)
Defective steering wheel (got replaced)
Numerous rattles from...
I got it, and it sucks... It is very low resolution, and in my opinion does not really help. Telsa really cheaped out on us by not having sensors, and such, I own a cyberbeast and a Lightning, and my lightning, I can get within inches with the sensors, it monitors 360 degrees of the truck, and...
Another option is to call Goodyear tire directly about this situation, you might get some answers there, just a thought. I've worked with other tire mfgs when my tires just didn't meet the warranty, I am really good at maintaining tire pressures, and maintenance records, they were helpful in...
You know...The Cybertruck prototype HAD a digital rear view mirror!!! I will bet they killed it due to penny pinching cost cutting, like they did all over this truck....
