Put 1800 lbs of salt in back. It was fun. Got a finger on the way home. Felt good. Going back to get 6000 lbs of graveling rock for icy roads for neighbors.
It is a truck. All the others want to make it a thing about.......Maybe they live nearby malls, and can't crawl enough.
Is it me...
Mine will be delivered via freight along with everything in the picture on Monday. The slider design is the way to go. These if one looks give a little lip which is nice. Nerf bars look a bit strange, and protection is questionable as they are little more than foot steps.
To follow up. One can actually overcome the ditch hunt by tugging yet not enough to cancel FSD. Sometimes it will send one into the rumble strips. Did 2000 miles over 2.5 days. It wasn't there a month ago.
Have over a half a million miles on AP. Brought me back to the days of the crazy...
Yeah I don't have any problems in snow, and the chains are about 5 minutes per side if I am slow.
I do have the Duratrac as well. Handles just fine. I do have fun with the truck.
Probably not going to make a video of it however. I am sure a video telling how great it is would touch...
That is the idea. More and more. I have 6 chargers at 80 miles out from me. Then another 4 at 180 miles. Almost a perfect world. My most used supercharger is over 1000 miles from homes. Looking back at 800k of driving. Having a supercharger in backyard would be something I would never go to...
Yeah one should get a standard printout in the industry showing the before/after, and spec for vehicle. In car thing is cool, but post work one should get the printout.
edit: add an example printout
strange up here in Montana. I have this flutter temps from -5 to positive 5ish.
Not using FSD. It seems to happen around 3mph when no regen is allowed. Truck almost stutters.
Outside of those circumstances I don't hear any clunking..
I would stay clear of the Sprayway stainless product as it is oil based. Will leave a thin sheen of oil, and with that will come dust and everything else. This product is really for indoor applications like a stainless fridge, or if one keeps truck in garage with stainless fridge as a trophy...
After driving the speed limit across a couple stretches in eastern Montana I would say it is needed. Some stretches between superchargers are not achievable with a small trailer in winter.
Just a family of two with two dogs and gear at 80 mph one struggles at these lower temps. Sure slow down...
Agreed. When one deals with negative degrees in garage on a regular basis and one is done driving one charges immediately. It is a psychics thing. Pack get cold, pack needs to warm up to charge. Doing post driving increases the likelihood of a warmer pack.
The software bug will be fixed...
