I used to subscribe to Troy, but then he turned very pessimistic about a year ago, finding the negative in pretty much everything. His actual numbers are still really good for the current quarter's deliveries (i.e. aggregating data), but not his commentary nor his future, long term projections...
The tax credit was just announced/approved (the writing was on the wall).
In regards to controversial, you forget how "controversial" and unique electric cars were back in 2016! Now they're mainstream, but back then, it was very much unknown if they'd take off or if it was just a fad (think...
In the last few months, the AWD literally went down 27.5%! From $100,000 to $72,500 with tax credit (the last just recently happened). I think we don't know WHAT the demand is at that price point!
Also, the Model 3 was supposed to decline in sales once the backlog was exhausted...we all know...
@MyOtherTruck, do you know the rough range/efficiency hit from the Duratrac RTsc compared to stock? Also, were the ones you referenced the ones Tesla sells?

I'd try a boat cover, or center console cover first. Think of the difference with the tonneau cover open vs. closed. You want smooth airflow, not turbulent, which is what happens behind the center console. I think a full top boat cover would probably be the best (one that goes over the center...
FYI, since no one is posting here except to echo the OP, just wanted to mention I don't have this issue. Mine's an early build though. Hopefully it's just an adjustment.
@totonutz, can you list the exact tire size and spec? Also, ballpark what the package cost?
They look great!!!
Also, do you have any estimate on the hit to range?
FYI, FSD V13.2.1 is much better on my 2023 Model S than on my Cybertruck. I think the Cybertruck is a half release behind. It might be that way for a while due to how small the fleet is (for now). I'm just really appreciative that they're at least updating it frequently (vs. the longer wait for...
When people say the Cybertruck is terrible at towing, what they really mean is it is terrible at LONG DISTANCE towing. For around town, it's awesome!!!
Ditto. The wife and I end up taking our Model S Plaid only when the Cybertruck has already been taken (usually by her)! It's that good. There's just something about it...
All worth it! I just love it so! Still haven't taken it in my February 2024 early build for the pedal or rear trim recall, but this I'll have to do (and I'm sure they'll add the others).
Also, I think most early adopters are a little different than what you are implying since we were just...
Ditto. I only traded it in for a new Model S Plaid (always regretted just getting the 100D instead of the P100D). It was a great car! It was also the most expensive, cheapest car I've ever bought. It was the most expensive, dollar wise, but then I bought Tesla stock because of it and, well...
Our 2017 Model S 100D had only lost 3% over 53,000 miles when I traded it in last year. Our 2021 Model 3 with 40,000 miles has lost 8%. Hoping the Cybertruck is closer to the S than the 3. But both lost their range relatively early in the mileage.
I think a lot will change in a month. The election will be over (regardless of who wins), and a lot more Cybertrucks will be on the road. It's hard to spew hate when they're all over the place...
BTW, also let me know how manual driving is. Now that the Cybertruck can drive itself (finally), I...
