Like I said, after the second PPF install, the ceramic coating streaking is no longer there.
I suppose dirt rinses away a bit easier than the bare metal but no matter what, you'd still want to wipe it down so the effort is pretty much the same because if you really want to clean it, you don't...
I'm wondering if others have had some similar experiences or feelings about PPF. I have a quality PPF - Stek colored matte black PPF.
After having the PPF installed for many months, and installed twice due to some separate issues I can mention another time, I can say some of the benefits of PPF...
Torque news seemed to have reported this is an issue: https://www.torquenews.com/11826/tesla-service-centers-overwhelmed-after-widespread-powertrain-alert-prompts-several-owners?fbclid=IwY2xjawITZfhleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHYO7Kg7-lfMNbzqmYsCu6U5BvckNwhkrfG7WXLeTsvAR-wzPMaJgSNvz4A_aem_AKlMVIo47sNn0svdsXT7sw
Did you use the method described in this thread without needing a second email to get the install? I had a service appointment at Paramus for the lightbar using the method in this thread and they said I needed a second email (the first one said I was in the queue which I showed them but that...
I tried multiple times to make a service appointment for this. When I arrived each time, they rejected it and said the tonneau is not meant to be waterproof or even resistant. One time, one person said, it depends on how much water gets in and they would need to measure it. Not sure how that...
This is what Grok says:
Based on user experiences shared across various platforms, the policy on whether Tesla charges for tolls when using a loaner vehicle can vary:
General Policy: There's no uniform policy explicitly stated by Tesla regarding toll charges for loaners. Some users have...
Just wondering because I dont recall ever being charged for that. Can anyone confirm whether you get charged for tolls when you have a loaner and drive thru a toll?
Looks like a great install. I think I'll have to pass though since its just tape under there and I am on the east coast with constant snow, salted roads and just straight cold weather. I imagine this install would not last long under these conditions plus I'd have to constantly do undercarriage...
it’s rarely discussed but colored PPF is very hard to install if you want to wrap and include the edges as it is unlike other cars where the CyberTruck has a very sharp edge and the adhesion is very different.
