  1. 2025 AWD and Powershare - First impressions

My install was $2,400, so it was a no-brainer. There are a couple different install options. You might want to make sure they haven’t picked an overly complicated and expensive option.
  2. No Wifi needed to download software update or just this time only.

They've always had the capability to push updates over cell, they just usually don't. Perhaps the key card issue ranked important enough to push without WiFi. Possible there was a recall item in slipped in there.
  3. No Wifi needed to download software update or just this time only.

Do you normally have WiFi access disabled? The vehicle will periodically wake on its own and connect to available WiFi. Unless your configuration requires manual intervention, there's no need to manually connect and check for updates. 3 weeks (or more) sounds about right since the last...
  4. Wheel covers don’t align well with the wheels

The hassle is being overblown. You only need to line up the 2 pieces on the initial install. With 7 spokes on the rim and 7 on the cover, it doesn't matter how you line it up on reinstall, it's always aligned unless you switch covers between wheels. A firm pull with 2 hands aligned at 2...
  5. Front Tag keeps getting bent after car wash..

That's not really a Cybertruck issue, it's a problem with automatic car washes for most vehicles. Either use a sufficiently rigid frame to keep the tag from being bent or tape the edge to keep the brushes from catching it.
  6. $2,500 Power Share Credit and Sales Tax

If I had to guess, it's the difference between a voucher (discount code) that zeros out the cost of the Gateway Bundle and a store credit (gift card) used to pay for an item (and tax). I don't know if there's any legal accounting requirement to do it that way, but it definitely seems to be the...
  7. “Stats” now forcing subscription on early adopters

Finally deleted the app today. Remember to log into your account on the Tesla website and go into security to remove access that was granted to the Stats app.
  8. Update: Rearview mirror camera caused Cybertruck windshield replacement!?

Did you have any struggles installing the camera? I slipped re-attaching the mirror to my windshield in my Model X and pulled the camera mounting bracket off the windshield in one corner. Fortunately, I traded it in for my Cybertruck, so I didn't have to worry about it. I'd be utterly amazed...
  9. Charging for non-Teslas at Superchargers - any thoughts?

Tesla wanted NACS to be the standard and they also want the federal subsidies that came with opening the network up. Ultimately, it should be in our favor, just a matter of some growing pains as charge port location gets standardized and capacity increases.
  10. No washer fluid at the blade - solved

Mine is pretty anemic and it feels like it sprays on the up stroke and pauses on the down stroke. So it is halfway up the windshield before it has built pressure enough to spray the upper half of the blade. My driver side ends up fairly cleared and the passenger side is a mess of streaks. Of...
  11. Cybertruck Air Compressor + Tire Repair Kit now available in Tesla Shop

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YTKQLVK?ie=UTF8&th=1 There may be better options, but this one packs a punch.
  12. Cybertruck Air Compressor + Tire Repair Kit now available in Tesla Shop

Seems like it's probably twice the price it should be, but that's not really out of line with any of the other accessories on the Tesla Shop. I went with the TC-BL compressor, that looks heavier duty based on available specs, no slime kit though.
  13. FSD Fail đź’€ Almost Died

It's certainly trained on actual driving footage that is hopefully both safe and legal, but that only covers how to drive. The second aspect of developing the road map and identifying all the potential obstacles is just as critical. Without knowing if it didn't see the red truck, didn't...
  14. FSD Fail đź’€ Almost Died

Given the number of humans that don't understand how to navigate a yield sign, it's not surprising that FSD is going to struggle. The red truck came out of the shadow of the overpass when the Cybertruck was a good ways into the turn, but obviously still before the yield sign. Without seeing...
  15. FSD Fail đź’€ Almost Died

How so? Looks to me like the Cybertruck blew through (I assume) a yield sign into the path of traffic with a green light. Could the red truck have moved over, sure; but they pretty clearly had the right of way and FSD should have yielded. That's exactly the kind of thing that needs to be...
  16. Single Motor - "Positive Traction?"

Tesla's traction control is top notch. It seems reasonable to assume they'll keep the locker in the drive unit just to simplify production, but even if it's delivered with an open diff, I wouldn't be too concerned. An ICE has to deal with drive train lag and a combination of controlling wheel...
  17. IR LEDs Flash during FSD telemetry upload

Where are the IR LEDs? I wasn't sure why my old radar/laser detector went nuts in the Cybertruck, but it makes a lot more sense seeing this.
  18. Problem with my Purchase of a Cybertruck

Honestly, just move on. If the purchase process (likely the easiest part of any Tesla ownership experience) was this frustrating, it's the wrong car for you.
  19. Curious about the EV tax credit.

I'm not sure that's correct. I believe the AGI in the year you're filing determines credit eligibility. I got the credit on a March 2024 Model Y purchase based on the qualifying in 2023 and expecting to qualify in 2024, but some unexpected gains I can't offset are going to disqualify me for...
