One of the worst misses in the CT is not having a satellite antenna for true satellite radio. I do a lot of rural travel and the streaming options just don't do anything.
Through my extensive use of Sirius XM when rural, I've grown to really like Sirius XM. The stations have introduced me to...
I don't mind the protesting, I'm in full support of any peaceful protest regardless of what the topic is.
Vandalism and physical attacks on drivers is not a protest, that is crime. Unfortunately there's been a rise in these actions and that's why these events need to be closely watched by...
This is also a fair point. Since my CT came with the powershare equipment ($1,500) and a $4,000 install credit, my total cost to change from generator input to powershare was $2,000 out of pocket. Even with limited outages, that cost is modest enough to make the install worth it. Now if I had...
I had a generator input and swapped for powershare, it is a much better solution as long as I own the CT.
The only thing that will stink is if I sell the CT, and don't replace it with another bi-directional charging EV.
Give me a S/X Plaid or equivalent with steer-by-wire and it will be my next vehicle. If that's not available in 18 months (likely next time I buy), my CT will be joined by a non-Tesla EV in my garage.
I got the truck in May, and the vast majority of people were friendly and curious the first few months. I had one funny early interaction where I was ordering at a counter and the person next to me says "there's a cybertruck outside, it's hideous, go look at it." My cashier said "i don't ever...
I priced it out and my FS Beast was $500 more expensive than a non-FS Beast today, but that excludes the lightbar because I don't know how much it costs. If the lightbar is more than $500, the FS Beast was cheaper than the non-FS Beast if you wanted all the options.
If you didn't want the...
There's nothing wrong with a premium vehicle selling in smaller numbers, that's been a successful model forever. The issue is just that it doesn't match what Tesla told investors the CT would be. With talk of having production capacity of 100k-250k CTs a year, it seems like Tesla greatly...
I was just at my local auto show, I was looking at the trucks from other manufacturers. A lot of people on here mention how many trucks cost $80k, which certainly is a fact. However, F-150 starts around $40k at base specs, so do other similar entry level trucks from other manufacturers...
I have the loudest motors of any cybertruck ever produced. It's about time one of these noises skipped my truck. But no, I definitely don't have this noise.
Didn't all foundation series come with the charging equipment? Or was that Beast only?
The new Tesla Wall Connector has a cord that is absurdly long. I didn't measure it, but it looks like I could wrap the cord around my truck 3 times. I had two previous versions of the Wall Connector, one...
No.
I don't think he meant it as a Nazi salute. The guy has autism and he isn't a great speaker, he unfortunately messed up. Double unfortunately people don't mind making fun of someone with a disability if they are rich, which is pretty disgusting.
...but anyway, if other CT owners start...
I'd take the supercharging, considering the light bar doesn't have a cover and isn't legal unless I keep it taped up 99% of the time anyway.
On a side note, yesterday I received confirmation my aero covers just arrived. I was a May delivery. Who knows when the light bar will be here.
Just today they are finally installing my home backup system. The $4k credit was nice with the Beast, but it was certainly a pain to get the setup moving and it took 8 months. Fingers crossed it works as advertised when they finish the setup.
I still don't have the wheel covers or the light...
...and one is much cheaper and a better work truck!
The Beast is a better daily driver, without a doubt. If you're looking for value or a work truck, the Lightning is better. I’ve put nearly 10k miles on my Beast and put nearly 15k on a Lightning and I've used both in almost every scenario (I...
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The AWD CT is not worth the money. Coming from a Lightning, the Beast is a step up premium experience. If you get the AWD, you're better off spending less and getting a Lightning.
If i did it all over again I would get another Beast. If I wanted to...
I like it more than Amazon music. In both my CT and M3, Amazon music will get an error and stop working until the next drive. It seems Sirius is in better shape than Amazon already, no crashes.
Winter tires get worse range. Unfortunately they also prevent me from dying during the winter, so I need them.
The trip is a day trip, the phantom drain being parked outside a few hours not in use when it is 10 degrees outside is meaningful.
